Got a tent half set up and dropped 8 BOG Sour Bubble and 2 BOG Sour Strawberry seeds. Tent will be 4 plants only. Hoping for 4 SB females but dropped the 2 SS to get a few more shots at females. I only dropped 8 SB because those are my last. I did 2 SS because I have 10 sex tests to use so we’ll see how I do against the odds pretty quick.
Going to use EliteXElite to reverse one of the ladies to make the feminized pollen.
I havent been active here recently and figured this would be a good way to get back into the swing of things. Will get some pics posted of the seeds doing nothing as of yet tonight and some pics of the grow tent tomorrow.
You send in a 1/2" piece of leaf and they tell you whether your barely more than a seedling is a boy or a girl. I use Farmer Freeman. $10 a test in bulk or during a sale. Starts to add up but can save a lot of time, space, and resources to know so early when dealing with regular seeds.
Ive used it before. Its not one of the cheaper ways to do it but a bottle goes a long way and its one treatment and done. Im at an age where ill pay a bit extra and reliability and ease of use. Bud from reversed plant is still trash though like most chemical methods.
I got a TON of Sourblu Tooth regs from a previous run but its nice to have some stock that I know what its gonna be that arent autos. I think that seed run is in my shed o tents thread.
As far as Im aware its for access to air so the seed eosnt “drown”. How much sense this makes versus being buried underground in nature, I dunno. Maybe doesn’t make a diff. Ive known people to think sinkers that wouldnt float were duds. I admit a bit of bro science. But I know mine are ready for a new home now.
I give my beans a hot water bath. Usually when I first put them in the water, any that sink right away are no good. In 24 hours when I come back, any that are still floating are no good. Usually at about the 12-hour mark I will give my jar a quick little stir and then put it back in the dark for the next 12 hours.
