Bonanza of Green is a great book. I downloaded it and printed it so I could have a hard copy. I noticed that Seedsherenow shows 3 strains as retired so I am now on the hunt for original seeds to reproduce of these strains. If anyone happens to have a line on some let me know.

I’ve been gone for far far too long. I left 1.0 and never felt at home on the other Forums. ICM and RIU held me over for a while but this was home. I remember when he was working the Blue Moon Rocks… Sad to say upon my return I find out that two legends left us in the same year.smh. Being in a red tape state I managed to pick some Sweet Cindy and LifeSaver on my last order from SHN. Crazy how far things have come, I’m still use to the Doc or single seed center to name a couple. Glad to see we can operate in the US! Sour Grape and Sour LifeSaver will be added for my next order just to make sure I can reseed if need to. I hope things pull through! Keep up the good work! +Rep

@Canofbusjoe Thank you OG

You have awesome grow pics

@OGSince03 Welcome back, I joined in 2018. Old school since 2002 OG as Atmosphear, searchable on ICG. Good to see you, what was your old school handle? Before OG I was growing on Hempcultivation dot com.

Two BOG SBT’s don’t look or smell the same. First one looks and smells like the SBT I grew in 2020.

Second looks and smells like Sweet Cindy

@Heliosphear THCKingsblend I believe it was. I got it from an old Kottonmouth Kings title. After the shutdown I was running mostly DWC and RDWC and basically had to keep shutting things down every few months for security reasons. life happens and I realized I needed a big boy job so my hobby often got put on hold… Being on the East coast where it’s still frowned upon I still have the old school “undercover” mentality and try to limit certain things. Im back though. Getting in gear for a nice run shortly, now that I have the right space to work with security wise. I hope to do a lot of pheno finding so I’m trying to round up a lot of diverse strains. I am very interested in you’re venture you have going as I can do some comparisons. Thanks for you’re insight!

Gotta love some good bud porn… and thanks @Heliosphear for linking BOG’s book, I hadn’t gotten a copy of that yet. Downloading now, I definitely have plenty left to learn and free good advice is never a bad investment. I’m sure there’s a long line of people with their hands out before me, and obviously I’m still a newbie, but I’ll keep an eye on the thread in case you end up with a “bonanza” of seeds to give out for preservation down the line. All the BOG lines are going to be getting tougher to find, I’m sure… and entirely too many scammers out there trying to take advantage of his absence.

@OGSince03 looking forward to seeing you grow again, starting a diverse group sound like a good plan. What strains are you looking for?

@Cormoran i like your imagination grow, I often grow seeds cause I get the itch… yours are looking good.

I think when you get that basement going, it’s gonna be awesome. Down the line preservation of BOG strains that are unavailable on the market is being taken care of by many grow communities. Several OG’s are very serious about keeping the BOG legend alive and growing, my SBT seeds will be grown again to look for a pheno champ and a premium male, those seeds grown and same process repeated until I’m satisfied.

@Heliosphear Yeah I’m getting excited. I’m working out details as to how I’m gonna do this. I’m working with not the best conditions as far as space. But I think it’ll do. I’ve had much worse to work with. Sadly I won’t be doing it for much personal smoke it’ll be strictly for seed runs. Mostly. I won’t have to have giant trees smelling up the block😎

Really into the coffee skunky chocolate types. I have some pre98 on the way so I’ll see how those go

Chocolate skunk sounds delicious and funky, not a coffee fan, my second job…ummm 36 years ago was a doughnut bake at Mister Donut. Even now all these years later, the smell make me wanna hurl. How much space you workin with?

:joy: It’s crazy how smells can be so memorable. The space it highly restricted, it’s about 10-15x3x5 for the main area. I do have a small space I could do veg/propagation in so that’ll free up the main area. I’m gonna have to get crafty and go LED, that’s for sure. Temps will be a big factor so I can’t run my hps lamps without running major conditioning.

I’ll do an update again soon, bit of a rough start - I almost don’t want to do a post cause I’ll have to admit what I did to them. :frowning: Still, everyone’s alive so that’s the important part.

Lots of basement remodels going on apparently. I guess @Canofbusjoe is doing a remodel too, not sure if you were talking about his or mine… I’m also remodeling mine, got about a 10’x20’x8’ space I’m working with so it should be good for some preservation runs eventually. Anything other than the most unmanageable outdoor sativas should be good to go, hopefully. I’m loosely following @ReikoX’s design and reserving about 4’x20’ for a workspace, since there’s ductwork in the way of using that space for plants anyway. Hypothetical plants, that is. :stuck_out_tongue:

When I looked at your plants I saw over watered, if you don’t share the good and the bad times… a opportunity is missed for others to learn from mistakes that can be dealt with and how to do it. By sharing your problems, other OG’s are givin a chance share knowledge with you and others on what to do when the fertilizer hits the fan.

SBT’s… I guess. Looks like a SBT and a sativa dominate BOG something.

Before (over)feeding them they were down to 30% on my moisture meter, a little moisture left in the soil but I wouldn’t have thought overwatered… unless I just can’t trust the meter. That being said, they were overwatered early on, a few weeks before those pictures were posted. These are definitely the bad times, for my plants. :stuck_out_tongue: I’m getting a crash-course refresher in what not to do, and you’re right, I might as well share the wealth. I’ll be polite enough to keep it in the right thread, though. Anyone who wants to watch me screw up my first diaried grow, feel free to stop by!

Yours, btw, are looking very nice in contrast. I can always stop by when I need a reminder of what these plants are supposed to look like…
