BOG's double potting technique

Rather than transplanting, BushyOldGrower (@BogSeeds) cuts the bottom out of the present pot, and places it in a larger pot partially filled with soil.

This image shows this technique, with the smaller pot having had its bottom inch removed.

The double potted plant is now ready to put on some new roots.

buddha fett  makes a cut along the bottom and tapes it back up before he starts his plants to limit stress.

Finally, a new spin on this Bushy Old Technique by Overgrow contributor eugene, who transplanted this grow bag onto a trough filled with soil. Its now ready to grow and SCroG.

Fun to see my teachings still being used to help my friends. It was called my best tip by many. More air to a larger root system increases yields however you do it.

I saw plants as big as huge apple trees with yields over 19 lbs of trimmed, dried bud each. My lsd out yielded all the strains he grew. Two of them went around 21 lbs each! No lie. :sunglasses:. The in ground smarties were like 12 ft diameter. Bog

I did this very same thing in the Green House last summer. The plants got bound up in the 5 Gallon Containers, so I placed them into 15 Gallon Containers.

I didn’t take any pics. :disappointed:

Worked great!

WOW good timing. I have a few plants that I brainfarted on and theyre in 3gals.
Since theyre sitting in a drip tray I made, I was wondering about cutting the bottoms off and filling the tray w dirt.
Now I know it should work.
Ill post pics once I do it.
Thanks

Love the AirPots! More oxygen to roots. Been using @BogSeeds, Bog’s methodology for some time. Less stress than repotting.
Good Stuff @Skiball.
