I think I’m running really heavy feed for what it would like. My lights are turned down to roughly 30%. I rarely go to 50%. Don’t really need to with the far red. Every time you take a new strain on you’re gonna learn a little bit I overfeed her heavy-handed. I’ll get it all used up so to speak before chop. I’m curious to see what sort of aroma will come from it at the very end. It’s been very light on the smells leading up to now. Even still, I can’t get any real smell other than dank lol. I’ve had some strains that just don’t smell till the very end. It usually helps if that smell is just developing at the very end…

I gotcha. I’ve had the smaller nugs up top compared to below from too much light, but 30% certainly doesn’t sound like too much. I only really pay attention to the smells in the last week or so too. That’s usually the one that sticks around. Those early smells always disappear on you. Haha

Plants lookin awesome as usual. In one of the neighborhoods I grew up in we had a neighbor that was super similar. They had a side lot done up with a whole big ass half pipe and a dirt track for bikes or dirt bikes with big ass ramps. They printed out waiver forms for our parents to sign or you weren’t allowed in the yard. Kinda forgot all about that till you mentioned it lol

Hell Yeah !!! That ramp was my first head high half pipe. It’s was only a couple inches of vert but it was perfect. Allowed us to learn the tricks without the vert fear lol. I still remember the old school guys blasting front side airs out. Extended over the coping legends !!!

The one I’m talking about definitely gave you vert fear lmao you could ride bikes on it too it was big. I’m pretty sure the dad worked for a company that built ramps at skateparks if I remember right. I was in like 1st grade so I was on the struggle bus there

Oh yeah, somebody definitely went big lol… I drive by the Vans HB skate park almost every day. It’s been closed for a few years now it’s just too psychotic to skate. They’ve held a handful of events over the last couple years, but that’s it. The fucking pool is sketchy lol… they can’t even keep insurance for the place so it’s just basically used only for photo shoots where they can get enough money for insurance lol… I think there’s only been one recently and it was Tony Hawk. I don’t even remember if he landed anything on that photo shoot place is sketchy lol…

We had a Vans skatepark in a mall where I grew up in nj that’s one of like three I’ve ever been too. I wasn’t very good at that type of stuff I wasn’t scared to try though lol I remember trying to drop into a bowl after not being on a skateboard in 10 years it went exactly how you think it did lmao

Hahaha I skated a few of those, they were crazy setups and had awesome runs, but were full of kooks and just felt kind of flat/lame. Makes sense with insurance for those spots. Haha
Venice is probably the coolest place to skate. Loved the S.P.O.T. and Kona too. Someone told me Kona is in a video game. Wild. Skating was super fun.

Edit: Seemed way big to me. Haha. Those roll-ins go that high. Verts were 10’-15’ with 2’-3’ vert at parks. Wasn’t my scene. Haha

When you’re talking about getting above the coping anything head high will put some fear of God in you !!! Same with the surf haha. There was this rad old surf video this rabbi from Santa Cruz…. He was like people ask me all the time. How do I find God? He would say take a 10 foot lip on the head. You’ll find God lol …

Mavericks is so scary and it’s a small wave compared to some these days. Haha That sound is haunting and all of that kelp. Those big wave guys are something else. Over 12’ is getting gnarly in my book. Nowadays they hunt these 100’ waves. What?!?

Mavs may not get the glitter of the instagram world … but it holds a special place their nightmares !!! The hold downs can just be unsurvivable. I don’t think any place has had more three wave holddowns !!! There’s a rough one of some guys on the cliff recording a mad man trying to survive mountains of water… it’s a grainy rough video of a guy getting a three wave hold down filmed from the cliff. It’s horrifying as they count the hold down seconds and sets washing over. By the time the third set unloads they’re basically going. I don’t know if he’s gonna make it !!! There’s a follow up video from the guy that eventually survived it it was a pretty popular video for a long while every time the Mavs contest pops up that video gets more replay !!!

I have seen some rad stuff over the last few years river surfing, lake surfing, boat wake surfing, I’m ready to go wait for the tankers in Texas !!! Cherrs @TonesOwn
Venice and Upham used to be decent. Have to leave at 5 or 6 in the morning, get to the east coast around 8 or 9, surf until 4 or 5, be back on IRB by7 or 8.
