OK Peoples! This thread is about the completion of the villain arc where I use hybridization to generate a hash producing plant. Not just any hash plant, but one that will be legend.
So what genetics do I have for this project?
GojiOG and BigBud.
Why those two plants? It’s because they both have a 6 star hash melt with clear liquids in the slurper. At least equivalent to rosin, but better than some rosins. High producers, over 3 percent.
Now, what am I even talking about? 3 percent? So yah, I’m an industry babbler right? That’s how they talk.
Hey man hows the productivity on XXX strain?? Four percent, they reply.
It means that they have achieved 4 percent yield by weight from fresh frozen buds.
When I say it, there is a slightly different meaning. four percent means 4 percent of the bract weight is larger than 90 microns.
How radical is the process I use?
The process is actually so radical, that bubble hash makers like bubbleman were taken aback when I described it. Many of you are familiar with my actions. For others, this will be brand new.
Bring on the melt shots!
Fuck yeah more madness from @JoeCrowe is always a good day!
Pulling up a chair for this one.
Sorry for going off topic but why are all of your pips looking like this? Is it when you have achieved all the pips and they start over?
Looking forward to the education to commence
Yeah, pretty much. Some of us have been here long enough to accumulate a lot of pips. They change to a bar graph after a certain number.
I’m interested.
Yep. Impulling up a seat as well.
Allrighty then! See I’m no expert on plant breeding, but I know some experts. I’m no expert on naming parts of a plant, but… I know someone hah hah! So hopefully I’ve picked up enough so I sound like I know what I’m talking about.
Bract one! It’s GojiOG, a really high yield with incredible melt properties.
Braaaact two! Big bud, the plant that romps and stomps on the competition.
The bracts are the most important part of the plant IMHO because that’s where the drug factory is located. I’m talkin’ trichome caps! The plant forms a bract from the 4-7th node from seed, but clones always have them.
According to the breeding experts, there is a short cut in the process. You hybridize two females that have the same properties. So what I’ve done, is located my purpose for the project: create a really good hash producer. Breed towards a goal. Next is gather the candidates which took about 7 years. Each candidate was put through the tests! Many…many… many were rejected. But you have to play the long game. I got a handle on what was prize winning hash. What did it feel like? taste like, look like…etc. Other peoples, what was up with it? How did other prize winning hash measure? So many donations to the project, and 99.9 percent were crap. That’s not some kind of shade on people it’s just true. Even the purple ice water didn’t make the cut and it’s a super plant.
OK? 7 years to find 2 bespoke hash plants. lol!
There are parts of this project that are science and some that is scientism. The science is where I am measuring and weighing, doing calculations, and proving shit is false.
The scientism will be taking the product and seeing how it tastes and melts and makes me feel. That seems scienc-ey but it’s just some qualitative shit. No real meaning until it comes to the human experience, which is what we are ultimately looking at.
Now I’m no scienc-ey scientism genius, but when I take a dab off some hash, my brain tells me the human experience. It says either that’s shit, or that’s good shit. Of course I would never tell someone else how it will make you “feel”, it has to be experienced.
Have you ever been experienced? / Not necessarily stoned, but beautiful

“Heyyyy, Joe, where u goin’ w/that (bong) in your hand…”
@GreenHighland I call it “The Pickle Club” of OG.

Parked here for the education. Maybe i can absorb a gem or 2 for my imminent bubble run.
Sounds like a fun ride, I’m in
I’m going to be putting in all the details this time. Things like how I determine the plant is ready to harvest. How I determine which plants are good and which are shit. There are going to be rage inducing concepts here because of the “new information” whiff. I’m sure anyone who has read my posts knows I don’t do “normal” things a cannabis grower would. What I do, is actually more reflected in the industry, and not really the home grower. Sure sure… you can claim the industry is just cranking out shitweed, and many do. For… reasons, lol! Mostly related to profits. So, I’ll show you how I determine which plants are worthy of even attempting to grow.
First… and perhaps most rage inducing… Never use IPM on your plants. That will lead to contamination that later enters your body.
Poison sprayed in the room will enter porous surfaces and then off gas during temperature fluctuations.
Just in time for this ride
All the best ![]()
OK the most important part is picking a good plant. You could run each plant and test them each and see. OR… use a little short cut. Here’s how it works:
Bubble hash, at least mine, is made out of trichome caps. How do I know that? I checked.
Bubble hash is made from trichome caps, check!
Where do the majority of those caps come from? Bracts. mmmmmm how do I know that???
Bract! Check!
Leaf? Not so much.
So then you’re like OK how does this lead to a short cut?? See, the trichomes that you later harvest for hash, are on the plant when it’s a seedling, or a clone. It’s this piece of turd, right here:
The bract shows when the plant reaches sexual maturity. With, or without the white hair pistil.
