I never have any luck with reveg… only if i clone a flowering branch… thats what i usually do… take a cut around week 3 or 4 and let it start reveging on the clone tray, by the time u harvest the plants the cuts are just about back in veg ![]()
I’ve got a buddy’s dad that’s running Auto’s an he’s running them on 12-12 I tried telling him to go 18-6 20-4 24-0 but he said some Amsterdam seed bank guy told him to run them 12-12 I didn’t actually talk to his dad this was just coming from my buddy lol but can u run em 12-12 Auto’s
You can it just hurts the yield
Ok thank u for that I’ll try telling him that he’s got the tops staked down lol I’m like u shouldn’t do that lol but he said there’s already lots of cola’s popping up
The staking is fine. The plant will just produce more with more light. He could start on 12/12 and go to 18/6
Ok I’ll try explaining that to him THANK U Emeraldgreen
A few of the next wave of Sour Taxi f1s, sorting themselves into talls and shorts. Up-pot and flowering to come soon.
A couple Sour Taxi #9(b) X Swims Sour in the transplant tray.
It’s fitting that I’m doing the work while indulging in finger hash made from their Aunties, Sour Taxi F1.
I gotta say, i love the hash from the Sour Taxi @Emeraldgreen ! The taste and effects are right where i wanna be and i wanna make sure your selection continues on because its a good one.
I’ve got 2 tall and one short ST male I’m planning on mixing together and pollinating all females. Should give a nice cross section of phenotypes to select keepers from in the F2s to begin the narrowing down process. But as always, time will tell.
Just made my day. So happy to hear that. I just popped a bunch for outside this year myself. System is still a bit flexible for reporting ![]()
Nice EG! I’m happy to read you’ll be seeing the ST in action this season(knock on wood). Best of luck with your starts!
The trend of getting my ass handed to me on this crazy ride continues…
My thrip army refussed to take orders and continued to disobey me. I found them very hard to train when all they wanted to do was party and have orgies in my medium😁. So they got the smack down with a good soil drenched of spinosad, while still in solos. But i failed to PH correct the death slurry, went pretty hard with it and locked everything out. Sigh.
Last weekend they got stepped up to fresh medium and are beginning to get green at the top again. The talls took it worse and are taking longer to come around.
On a positive note, all the delays are allowing the Sour Taxi 9b x Swims Sours and Swims Sour f2s to catch up so that I’ll be able to include those females in the seed making fun. Once the Sour Taxi recover, I’m gonna take cuts of each then stick everything in cooker room.
The endless opportunities for learning ![]()
. Hope your efforts were successful
More like endless ass whooping with this project!
But I’m not giving up EG. Things will get back on track but I’m not forcing things until they are healthy and ready.
They are quite persistent! I finally rid myself of those thrip basturds, it took way too long, and I lost half my mothers in the process… root drenches are best left to soak for 5 minutes, then flushed away with fresh nutes. For me, it took beauvaria bassinia in the feed water, SNS spray of the leaves every day, addition of nematodes into the media, and soaking the roots in SNS for 5 minutes, then flushing with fresh nutes, every three days. I did also spray any visible fliers that popped up during watering with Arber, and spinosad… rotated every other application, so as to not allow immunities to form.
I also spread diatomaceous earth everywhere, to kill any strays, and added hydrogen peroxide to the feed water to kill the larvae.
It was hell, but in the end–there can be only none
A week on and the tops are starting to green up on the Sour Taxi F1s.
Gonna give them a bit more time to recover in order to let the second wave of sour starts catch up and then its off to the cooker room for the lot.
I can see a pin piont of light that may be the end of the tunnel, as far as getting the Sour Taxi f2s done anyway😅.
and applying sulfur dust as well as a treatment or two of Spinosad seems to be doing the trick. I did have an extended period of no growth in each area as well with sulfur dusted and left a few days.
Hello Buddy. I’m glad I popped these and very thankful you and @Emeraldgreen made them happen. I look forward to seeing your results with this ride.
Mine are ~48 days from flip. The chunky one smells fantastic, really stands out in the wafts of dank air vented outside. “cosmic fruit punch” is what you’d said it was described as and that suits it, with a sparkly ginger ale base. Berry candy alone doesn’t do it justice. I’d say if you can get half of this smell locked in on the progeny, you’ll be laughin. No slouch on the frostiness either and is the queen of the tent in my mind with its out of this world smell. wink wink.
The frosty one barely smells at all, but sure does have some chunky trichomes. Prominent smell is like purple heart cedar and fresh US currency with just the faintest whiff of the cosmic fruitiness. Made me think of sneakin cigarettes from my mom’s purse. I’d say it is a tall expression where the chunky one is a short.
Got a few weeks left. I reckon the calnit is keeping them green and not adding some lime to the promix is biting me. Can’t wait to give you a smoke report, lol. Getting a little snip for the doctor crossed my mind for the first time today. Did I mention the smell?
These are looking great. I hope they smoke better than they look! Looking forward to hearing the smoke reports!!
Did you get tall or squat phenos?
Cool project @Budderton. I have a couple ST #9 sprouts started for this years OD season. Excited to taste some of these. Thank you. ![]()

I may have one of each from the 2 seeds I popped, but there really wasn’t much difference in height during veg. The one on the front right/frostiest did stretch about 30% more than the chunky/best smelling one on the front left.
Damn that thangs chunky.
*eta: holy crap, I just noticed the light on the power strip, been burning bright for at least a month now.
