Looking perfect man, your doing great
Thanks Shadey! yeah shes doing alright
Pretty little seedlings. You are way early to tell sex… Do you just have the one plant going?
Keep in mind, it is VERY easy to kill her/him with love. Its easy to overdo the nutes at this young age. But hang in there and be sure to let the soil dry a little before giving any more water. You may also want to alternate between nutrient and plain water every other watering. Don’t want to overdo it. Good work so far.
Thank you @BigMike55 appreciate the reply!
yeah its in coco coir only and perlite… would you still recommend letting it dry out a bit throughout the pot? I usually stick my finger in til knuckle i can feel a slight moisture then i water again…
yeah im really low on nutes at the mo 1ml per gallon etc… il do a little flush next week…
Oh. I thought you were in soil. My Bad!
I grow in soil, but I believe if you grow in coco you want your medium to not dry out completely. Not sure tho. There are many here who grow in coco tho, who will chime in. I would still alternate nute…water…nute…water…
She still looks mighty fine.
Thanks mate
Yeah il keep her going as usual then very very light feedings and nice watering with little run offs I always check the run offs etc
Fingers crossed my first plant is a success
You have to wait until after the plant starts to alternate it’s leaf nodes, before it starts to show signs of sex, I find at least 6 weeks to be sure for me to identify sex, sometimes longer depending on the strain, but you will need clearer close up pictures than the ones above, for people to help you out there…
looking perfect, brother.
thanks mate il try craft this out ober the next few weeks
it will mean alot to me this first plant as a new hobbyist!
Soo as we approach Week 3 from seed - I think my first ever plant is looking rather healthy! I’m really pleased with how its turning out…
I would like to bush my plant out in my 2x2 tent whilst keeping the height in mind…
I’m currently at DAY 19 so in 2 days time she will hit the 3 week mark… should I be looking to do my first topping then or after the 3 week mark? Whilst I understand there is no right or wrong when it comes to craft I will display a picture below for what i hope to achieve with my lady Shaman…
I will be using a TOP / TRAIN / SCROG then LOLLYPOP approach throughout this grow so would you recommend a full Top first or a FIM.
Shes in a 4 Gallon bucket and doing very well.
Thank you everyone! Appreciate the help so far! Below is my plant and then a picture of how i would like it to look.
This is what i would like to achieve or something along them lines… ( BELOW )
I usually wait until 6 or 7 nodes before I top them, usually the plant has a bit more growth on it by then and doesn’t seem to care about losing it’s head.
More often than not I’ll just start tying them down with lst and not even bother topping though. Everyone has their preferences and some plants respond better to certain treatments than others
I top at node 3 or 4
Live the dream!!!
I like to FIM the first one.
I would say let it get a bit bigger and chop the top and cut the lowers…should leave you with a couple nice, strong branches to start your bush. I wouldn’t trim any fan leaves when doing your pruning.
In the pic you can see the vigor in the plant even when topped…these new shoots are ready to go!! (Ripped the pic from google)…but you can see the 4 mains ready to give’er
Lol…shit…totally forgot I topped these…but here is my topping for 4 main colas…
Lol…and the tops I cut off…doing a femmed seed run to keep these genetics…but hate males.
I’d think both would be OK but would wait to top at 6 or 7th node as @SensiBowl suggested, if you want to take the top for decent clone and continue with LST…JMO
