Bug Identification

Anyone know what this bug is? Found it on a leaf I plucked this morning.

Inside a tent or outside.

It’s in a semi sealed room outside a tent

Looks like an adult carpet beetle. If it is it won’t harm your plants but the larvae will attack carpet and cloth. They can populate fast and cause a problem so you may want to look around and see if it is just a lone bug that came in or if there are others. That is if it is even a carpet beetle.

It is the only one I’ve seen and I don’t have carpet in my house. I’ll take another look around when I get home to see if I can find anything else. Appreciate it

Look at your clothes and closets or drapes if they are cloth.
Here is what they look like:

Will do, there’s not much fabric in my house aside from clothes and this is the first one I’ve seen. I imagine it came in through an open window, been nice out the last few days so I’ve had them open pretty much all the time.

There are these things called screens for windows, open windows and growing plants are not a good idea.

I do have screens, I imagine one has a small hole somewhere big enough to let this thing in. This thing was smaller than a grain of rice so the hole wouldn’t need to be big…

Congrats for your sight  Yes, it definitely looks a carpet beetle. If it flies, it’s undoubtedly the one :beetle:
