How do you deal with old bulbs? Straight in the can or what? Not talking about T-5 or any of that . I been piling old CMH bulbs up and need to make some room. I am leery of throwing complete gassed up bulbs in the trash just in case a belt line worker sorting trash or something would get hit with the gas inside of these high output CMH MH etc bulbs. What is the proper way to dispose of these bulbs when you are done with them? Do I just toss them?

Landfill sites usually take them separately.

There could be a place near we’re you live that recycles & accepts hazardous waste. I would check there unless u wanna just bust em an toss them into a box labeled broken glass.

I think you can take them to home depot,lowes and others and they will do it.

Take them to an electrician supply store. They have a procedure for disposing of those bulbs.
