This morning I learned that hair will burn if it touches a COB. Despite the fact that my heat sinks are well within normal operating temps, the COB surface apparently gets quite hot.
Worst part is, it burned my hair right at the crown, where it is already getting pretty thin.
Caution around those COBs, people!
found this out a week ago trying to take loupe shots lol
didnt know why my tent smelled funny for a minute then lost a couple handfuls of hair lol

Don’t feel too bad, I caught the outside of my house on fire once being stupid! Thank dog I put it out quickly! The house was fine, but I still have a scorch mark on the driveway as a reminder.
So, THATS why I have that bald spot on the back of my head!
Noted, I hope they start putting a warning on the side of lights with the bathroom door stick guys head on fire haha.
I definitely got a few singed whiskers on my arm when reaching over my canopy lol especially those with exposed drivers haha
