Honestly, I probably don’t know much more than you do! I think that’s probably a good start?
I would suggest putting the pictures in one of your grow diary logs, and then folks can help you and discuss your plants.
Good luck with it! The first grow is an exciting and stressful thing I imagine that continues until it’s fully dried and cured. I can confirm that it still is at this point!
I would suggest anchoring the main stalk in place down bottom with another tie like holding it straight out of soil before the bend starts if that makes sense
Pulled off two more sets a couple hours ago depending on how many more buds look pollinated, I’ll make my decision on harvesting immediately or letting it go longer. I’m kind of taking it day by day at this point.
Ah no good I hate unfixable problems I normally get excited if something goes wrong in a grow because it doesn’t happen much and it’s fun fixing it instead of the water it and leave like most other days lol
moments when I was like “maybe I shouldn’t have automated things so much? ”
But then I have days where I barely make it to the main floor of the house for one or more in a row, and I feel like I’d rather be able to put energy toward other projects (theoretically) during those times than be required to do things every day. I like solving problems, but I like ones that aren’t a ticking clock like plant problems seem to usually be!
And yeah, I’m trying to keep myself busy, been redesigning a few components that I’ll be printing soon, and reading Yet More On OG. Haven’t been able to work on some of the hands-on stuff, but one day I’ll get there.
yeah! there’s a few styles of them. I’ve seen good things. I wanted different flexibility than they can offer, but most of the people I’ve seen using them like them.
Yea I love water but nft tables grow small plants Dwc buckets were a pain for my back and I don’t like having to dispose of so much coco all the time either so looking at options
Have you looked at @luxton’s aquaponics? His setup but fed from a standard hydro reservoir could do well for you I’d imagine. He grows some hefty ones in there. No idea how big you’re shooting for.
That makes sense! Autopots/octopots (I’m going to be completely honest I don’t know if there’s a major difference between them) might be something to check out as well. There are several users running those.
And now I’m wondering if you can fill an octopot with hydroton It’s entirely possible someone is doing just that, I definitely don’t have an exhaustive knowledge of them. That’d reduce how many materials you’d have to keep rebuying. That was a major consideration in choosing that route for my own needs.
