You know that’s a spy, right?
There was quite a few of them waiting for the Salmon run to start. They are truly large birds, and were pretty tolerant of our presence…was another great part of our vaca.
Beats the hell outta drones I guess LOL. Maybe they WERE drones… omg there goes the fishing…lol
Beautiful colours , is it because it’s beginning to be cold? What strain is it?
those are in 55gal drums cut in half, there is a fullsize one to the left for scale (we grow potatoes in that one) OdxTitanic on left a half broken Strawberry OG yellowing in the middle, and a monster Amnesia x Wreck D on the right. These are way to top heavy and trellised to bring indoors so maybe a temp rain cover while I harvest will keep any damage mould etc, from happening. The frosts last week have hairs all browning and buds are fattening up. Probably not a graceful end to a damp growing year, but lotsa work ahead.
We just confirmed that the colorful girl is a Bodega bubblegum clone from last winters run, it went colorful inside as well. Some of the other plants out there have a typical robust sweet scent to them, this girl is fairly muted, it is in a much smaller container, like the skunk #1 beside her, which is also (disappointingly mild scented). Both the Skunk#1’s from an old seed pack came out good solid plants, but on the fruity side, not much skunkiness.
Original Skunk #1 and Bodega Bubblegum coming down this weekend
Beautiful colours , nice work done …
Hate to chop them…lotsa work this weekend will try to take some pics while defiling the ladies. Tons of rubber gloves around these days lol. Hope the sun comes out for outdoor trim party today. Cops just busted a brazen greenhouse grow op that we all thought was legal… easily viewed 6 - 100’ hoop houses, staked to the nines with trees! 2000 plants all gone along with the 6 questionably Canadian detainees, that the press did not name. Our friends house was surrounded by their fence, crazy shit for this rural/cottage area. holy shit Just looking at the pics, posted in the news… the property photo was from a drone in June, as they had the greenhouses up and full before the fence was complete! Glad were all legal and compliant and stuff, here. Cops playing with drones invading our peaceful airspace looking for sunbathers, oh and weed for some reason.
Finished cutting the two giants, only the skunk and Bodega bubblegum left to chop. Smoking the first doob of the Amnesia cross, A week and its smokeable for a test. well she came out with the aroma, taste, and initially the stone is strong, Really happy with this outcome, probably going 1 to 1 1/4 lbs dry. I’ll find out when I jar it up. Yes nice and fuzzy, have to relight the joint…always a good sign, nailed it with this plant. Hopefully the migraine strain hits the spot for my partner. It looks to go about 3/4 lb. It looked larger than it produced, but excellent bud quality on her (OD x Titanic) . The Srtawberry og plant in the middle of these 2, ended up breaking in half early on but kept growing. She was shorter than her neighbours and has not put on the weight that the other 2 did. Despite her yellowing earlier (and the pheno is a fairly quick one) she went longer as well. I think the wound and mostly the competition for the sun kept her underperforming?? Despite that the width of that little area is 12’, I think I will just grow 2 plants in that space next year. Anyhow, really happy with this years grow despite losing a whole plant in August and fought (and held off) late season PM. Definitely using Actinovate again next year for the veggy gardens and buckets as well. HAPPY THANKSGIVING
![oct A cpl bud shots of Blue Hawaiian Sativa from JOTI I grew out 4 untopped females, which I ran fo 77days in flower. The heat was awful indoors this summer, and I was battling thrips. Despite that all four plants grew with vey little side branching and pretty much a “stick o’ bud”. It looks like the blueberry is dominant in the bud structure and indica style leaves. The nugs are some of the tightest I’ve felt on the branch, muted incence, floral, and berry notes. So despite being awfully grown, the plants seem to be pretty consistent, I am hoping for an uplifting high with them. Daytime get housework done type buzz, hopefully. We’ll find out…
Outdoor Amnesia cross final dry bud weight a staggering 29 oz. wow did she like the sun or what. The other large one looks to be around a lb. the pretty ones on the deck probably in the 1/4 lb. area. I still have the scraggly Strawberry OG hanging in outside without mould or pm (surprisingly enough). Next frost, which may be first snow lol, she’ll get the chop. very arthritic hands atm…
Almost finished chopping the Strawberry OG buds LOL. We’ve had awesome hot weather the last week here! Fired up a new light in the bloomroom (another 600w HID) and went with 2 600’s one sodium one MH, and shut down the 1000w sodium. We are doing a run and complete clean and paint, to get rid of the damn thrips (almost all gone now anyway) and any other nasties that came in with the other outdoor plants. the remaining 6 in the room weren;t blooming after a cpl weeks, so I camped out this morning to find a defective timer at shut-off. Well fuck me, rookie mistake plants were getting 24hr light and well stayed vegging, even established pre-flowers disappeared. so pissed -as-usual I double planted all 12 clones and I’m stuffing them in with the bloomers…10 weeks of fighting critters is not what I had planned but so be it. We can redo the veg room as there won;t be anything started for (I hope) 4 weeks or so. We have 41 new strains to start the new year with, so the cave will have more grow shots and regular grows to follow over the winter. Yes covid fed a really bad seed addiction this year (Thanks OG ) .LOL Cheers
I think the bug war is in a state of ceasefire…Well I’m regularly napalming the battlefront, but the enemy has been in hiding for a cpl weeks. No veggers yet but bloomroom has 4 strains going. I culled 2 Skywalker OG males yesterday, they are frozen to death outside now lol. I have a nice bushy male OD x Titanic that were going to selectively use on the girls. I have to make a little isolation chamber for him today… Bloomers are od x titanic, 91 dragons x Oregon Bus Pass, Dorothy Fuldhiem, and Special Kosher. I have original seed plants and double-planted clones of each. Hoping to make some kickass migraine meds with the male, as previous crosses of OD x Titanic females were very good. Time to start some seeds now too. I know I said 4 weeks but…LOL
Into paper towels today go : Blood Diamonds (Swamp Donkey) Sour Strawberry F2 (OG seed run) Butterscotch Hawaiian F2 (Barefrog) and Lemon Wookie (Bohdi). I’ll post up when they get goin.
3/4 blood diamonds, 10/10 Sour strawberry, 4/5 Lemo wookie all sprouted an above ground in solo cups.
Unfortunately 0/5 on the hawaiiann Buttescotch so I cracked the seeds gently yesterday we’ll see. I’ll try them straight into soil with a few more if they don’t like the paper towel method.
Great start though. Our male OD xTitanic started dropping pollen in the other room today, I just have a large foil sheet underneath the whole plant I’ll give it a shake on Sunday, collect the pollen and hose him down before bagging and transport to the outdoor for a cold wet cull. I do have him cloned btw LOL
Next round in paper towels Traverse Cherries (Bean Drop Genetics) , Kona Gold, Cherry Choke (Calyx Bros) and Grape Pie x Mac F2 (Cannarado) . Previous veggers doing well after transplant, had to cull 1 runt.
