Californian Red Worm Wee, is it good?

I was at the greenhouse supply store just this morning, and look what i picked up. Californian Red Worm wee, is this stuf any good? Have you used it?

It was under $3 for the qt.

I… what? Is it worm leachate from vermicomposting? If so, it might be useful for making compost teas or as a microbial inoculate. What does the label say it’s for? :thinking:

The lady said it was “Worm Pee”, like worms urinate… LOL

That’s exactly what it is @oranje vermicompost liquid… So, what can i use it for…?

I have never seen that before. It has to be the leachate like @oranje said, i assume. You never know but i don’t want to be the guy making the worms pee in a cup. Ha! Ha! :grin:

I looked it up, worms don’t pee. Has to be that right? I just did google translate and yes, it’s the leachate…

@MadScientist

If you give the worms more guiness to drink surely they pee more ??

Only joking I could not resist that one :joy:

Don’t know, still getting my wormfarm up and going :laughing: From what I’ve read and in no particular order:

  • Dilute and give it to plants for trace minerals/beneficial microbes
  • Use it to make compost tea (in place of earthworm castings/non-EWC compost)
  • Use it to add microbes/moisture back to fresh earthworm bedding

I’d probably try #2 before trying #1… but in either case, I think the microbes are more important than the nutrients.

I’m gonna be using Fermented Plant Juice and Oriental Herb Nutrient, now that i got this, will probably put it to good use, it says it brings some NPK… Will dilute and use it in waterings. @oranje thanks for replying bro!
