Can i re ammend used living soil with Dr. Earth?

I have some tomato veg and the bud and bloom laying around already.

Of course you can. Clean up the soil. Pick out large chunks of roots & debris, amend the soil, wet it and let it rest covered for a couple of weeks and you’re good to go.

Hello DIAR. Thanks for the confirmation. Any direct experience with dr. Earth for a re ammend?

No, sorry. I’m not from the States. However, since they’re organic amendments, they will work the same as any and should be fine.

Ideally you should perform a soil test before re-amending and reusing soil, but you can re-amend with 50 - 75% strength / measurements if the soil isn’t completely depleted and top dress as you go.

Thats the plan (topdress along the way). But i may go a little strong on the slo release dr. Earth. (Compared to whatever bag direction there is.)
Even though the soil was only run with autos, i underfed them and they ran outta steam early.

I Don’t use The tomato veg but i do use the regular non granulated Alfalfa mix.Ive been using Dr earth for reamendment for 5 years now.Its one of the best Feeds on the market for the price and performanceJust make sure you let it cook for 2 whole weeks.I love dr earth the bud and bloom is awesome as well.i use alot of malted two row barley and ECW too

.I reamend my outdoor plot every year and i mix up recycled soil in a black plastic tote and let it cook for 2 weeks.

Just amazing capn! That stuff really cranks for you. Any idea of the amounts you use per gallon of soil for say the bud and bloom?
Im starting to figure out that organic slow release stuff is much more forgiving than salts

I do this all the time. I have used Dr. Earth 2-2-2 to re-amend before and it works great. I’ve used the Flower girl too with great results. Be sure to mix thoroughly in your newly amended moist soil and let her “cook” for a good bit. I like to let mine sit for at least 2 weeks to 2 months or beyond. Just picked up a 20 LB bag of the 2-2-2 from Costco for like $20 and have been top dressing my yard and flower beds outside with it quite a bit.

@CapnCannabis Im surprised those branches didn’t snap. Everytime I grew out big bushes, branches would always snap from all the flower weight.
I started netting them up.

Haha nice man I bet it stinks up the neighborhood huh? Those chunkers would be full of mold in the deep south with our high heat and humidity but seem to be thriving over there

Now that’s a tree

I supplement with silica and the branches end up like an ugly stik fishing rod.You could have made a Billy club out of the main stalks

That corner absolutely reeked i could smell it in my pick up truck coming home when i hit my driveway .I battle mold here too i live next to Lake Erie and lets just say if i didnt Do a Dr Zyme IPM spray every 5 days and spray Sulpher everywhere in veg id lose it all.PM and Budrot are everyones worst 2 enemies here and you will be busier than a one legged cat burying turds on a frozen pond trying to keep that shit at bay. This Afgooey i got off of @Hashpants is quite the Stinker already she reeks dude She hit the Dr Earth and went nutts already. This one plant will fill this whole spot she gets 5 years of amended soil all to herself to pig out.Im going to use Regailia this year and see what she does.Hashy told me she eats rain and humidity

like a champ and i used that black plastic cover he likes to use.I want to see if it will keep the humidity under the cover and see if it helps keep the mold away

@Budlarfy I pretty much go off the bag instructions for the flower feed when i top dress with it.Ive been using TPS One and TPS Bud hardener builder and bloom booster to finish my flowers lately to see what it can do.You can use that bottle for veg and flower you just adjust the dosage to how far in flower you are.I make the plant eat up all the veg mix and use the bottle right at flip once a week.I stop feed two weeks before i pull and its all just plain water with a touch of epsom salt.If you do this for potted plants you dont get buildup of salts and the weed will still burn as white as notebook paper.Im going to not use the flower girl and try the bottle finish this year and let you guys know how it goes

Buy a pack of RECHARGE microbial powder and throw some at your used soil mix.

Yesir. Especially Dr. Earth products.

I also re-ammend with Flower Girl every couple of rounds. Top dress or tea along the way with the stuff too, if nessisary.
But I’ve been running a shit-ton of autoflowers in small pots. Figured there was no need for veggie food, lol.
