Cannabis , And Health : the possible negatives / my story

Hey y’all I’ve had thoughts on a post like this for a minute, just haven’t gotten around to writing it up.

Essentially I just want to talk about my current health situations ( I’m 27 ) and how cannabis is helping or not helping.

To summarize it up, I’ve been actively addicted to gaming for 10+ years now.
On top of that my cannabis use has been also addiction level since then .
And I guess I’ll add that I’ve not been working consistently since then either. On and off warehouse jobs and pizzerias.

To sum it all up and add insult to injury, I’m living in my grandpa’s old trailer , he didn’t really take care of the thing that well so mold has been an issue for years. One that has not been addressed. So I’ve probably been exposed to higher levels of mold and mildew for 10 ish years.

So, you have someone who is smoking cannabis to alleviate the symptoms of mold exposure ( doesn’t really help ngl ).
You have someone who enjoys smoking but realizes my lungs can’t really take it anymore.
And you have someone who enjoys growing it but is also allergic as hell to it…

Really the answer seems to be clear obviously, quit smoking and heal up.
But bro I’m actually addicted to cannabis :sob::rofl:. Like actually.

Anyone else in a similar boat ?
Whether you’ve dealt with mold in the past , or maybe you’ve developed an allergy to your favorite plant , gaming addiction, similar stagnant behavior ?

Tbh I blame alot of it on mold , because CIRS is a thing and I definitely have alot of symptoms. But then you got the double whammy of stagnancy and consistent weed use… even if it has become . 15 bowls every few hours.

TDLR : JUST want some conversations , I know the answers Already , I should definitely cut back or completely quit for a bit , you know curing bud would be a good time too . I definitely need to work with my fam and get the mold in control, air this bitch out. Etc. but yeah just some conversations man, anyone else go through something similar , how did you quit ? Did any of you actually become good at moderating smoking if you were once a daily smoker ?

get a dynavap, and a bong attachment. Not the same as smoking effect wise, but once you get used to it, its quite nice!

i had the flu recently and kicked my ass and my lungs ass, after 20 years of several bong rips a day, i figured it was time to give smoking a break and been vaping and eating cannabis for 2 weeks.

My lungs are thanking me, and weed tastes amazing out of the vape! :v:

good luck broda! my other advise is to start exercising too, in case you arent! :v:

I’m using a xmax starry v3 pro, I love vaping haha !! That’s why the bowls are .15 !

But absolutely on the exercise part.

Even if it’s jogging in place and a few pushups I’m making sure to do SOMETHING every 30 mins .

This stuff works very well to control and kill mold. Start with the mold issue.

I mean there are lots of things you can do. It may sound weird but growing makes me use less. It doesn’t feel like a valuable commodity, I dont consume it quickly out of scarcity nor do I have to ration it.

I’d maybe suggest edibles as both a substitute for smoking all the time and to give your lungs a break.

Right on!

I’ve definitely been consuming less since I’ve begun vaping , and now that I’m growing I’m faced with the 4 week minimum dry / cure time to have decent bud !

( Although I’ma bout to test this chem x wedding even tho she ain’t dry :rofl: )

Since I have so much ABV laying around I’ve definitely considered edibles and even made a what I’m assuming is a decently strong batch of coconut tincture.

How long does that stuff last btw ?

Absolutely. Above all this is 100 percent my main issue.

Last in which way? The buzz is probably 4 hours with an hour lead time.

I don’t do AVB anymore but I had a very old jar and turned it into edibles and it worked just fine.

Oh I mean the tincture itself haha , it’s been fridged this whole time, what’s the shelf life on them?

I don’t know much about tincture but I’d guess indefinitely.

Awesome , I’ll look into this and probably get some here soon

Sup @BeTheLight, feel with you mate and I can’t help you much tho the only thing to say is be your own light :hugs: you have come this far that is understanding, accepting and admitting it to yourself which is already a big deal! Mold isn’t healthy but if it may ease you little I think most things in the world aren’t really anymore these days. Even if we think it is like eating greens or smoking weed for instance, you never know what’s inside unless you get it tested (even if you grow it yourself).

Understanding is a thing humans like to lack in and what does it really matter for life is to short. I can’t say I was an addict to gaming cause I had consciousness telling me I would lose myself in these things… your mind loses track off time and think this is fact for every being. Sitting in your cave without having another soul around telling you to get out off it isn’t helping either though. Finding a life partner might do you some good as long as it is a real person who cares about you!

Weed helps cleaning your lungs preferably vaping it and not vaping all day long though… am open for argument’s on that subject but just sharing my opinion as a nobody. I know it can have/give health benefits maybe not to every person in the world like there are people who react bad on therps as some do on caffeine  but my vessel loves both! Think the isolation or gaming is more harmful for you mind, soul and even your vessel.

The only thing I could really advise you is get to explore the world, travel around learn new things and people! I was lucky enough to be able to do this all on my own when I was 21 years old and those might have been the best times in life for me. I knew society would get hold of me in some way or another and only can tell I was right. LMAO  Still I do enjoy life a lot but not every part of it as I did when I was younger.

Strangely have to admit I feel somewhat depressed from the moment I place a foot in my home country and feel joy every time I leave it. My mind and body subconsciously know what they want but we need to face our own responsibilities in life. So find out for yourself which needs you have in life and start striving towards it, you already pulled the trigger creating this topic and wish you the very best in life :green_heart:

Thank you mate. Wise words here.

I’ve got to find that drive again.

I’ve noticed the things that get me going are weather , music , and photography.

So besides the basic need to get a job and work, I need to work on those as well. Or I’m just not going to be happy TBH !

And that’s just me !!!

I imagine it’s similar for everyone.

I definitely feel the sentiment that you do about traveling… I’ve definitely been fortunate enough to travel some when I was younger to. Multiple cruises , a few road trips to concerts.

On the topic of concerts heck I’ve probably been to 20 in my life by now.

But I really feel that traveling part. The minute I have a destination my mind wonders , it flys, it imagines , it creates. It free flows and is happy.

MAN I need to get a good car and just go travel.

Been wanting to build out a van to travel and live in / storm chase in.

Imagine having a mobile grow LOL

Just passed 55 recently would just like to add life is short. Time goes by fast. Heard it many times in my youth but didn’t understand till recently.

So maybe ease up on the games and pick something productive. Even if you do just a little every day it adds up.

Little bleach and ventilation for the mold. You are moving forward you have identified things you are not happy with. Little bit every day. Peace and love

Cleaning up that mold is a high priority. Ive dealt with a ton of mold issues over the years. Have lived in flooded out apartments and high humidity places where mold was a constant battle.

The longer you wait, the harder it is to deal with. I dont want to scare you, but if your furniture, framing or clothes get moldy, it starts getting more and more complicated

I personally swear by concrobium mold spray. Stuff is crazy good if you follow the directions. Also get a dehumidifier and keep your place 55rh or lower. That will dramatically reduce the spread. An air filter, certified for mold, can also significantly improve the air quality.

Bleach is only effective on nonporous materials. If its porous like wood, concrobium can soak in and effectively kill the mold

As someone that has struggled with videogames addiction in the past… that shit kills your motivation to do anything else… its really tough to find pleasure in things when ur mind is fiending the screen…

First week withdraw it rough, find a new healthy addiction to replace the other one… focus on the things u love but have been neglected …

After that 1st week. Things get a lot easier…

Kudos on the courage making this post. Every journey starts…
Are you growing in the trailer?

Walking near water will help

Looking forward to hearing how you conquered the monster

Good Job by you

I hate to be a debbie downer but it definitely already got to the longer you wait part ;-; Due to my gramps just not caring about repairing the trailer for the most part… He didn’t get a new roof until it personally effected his where he spent most of his time . At this point im convinced we need to rip up the carpets, toss those, dust down everything, use the mold spray, and get a bunch of box fans with VOC 14 air filters taped to the back to back of them with all the windows open etc.

Right on.

Theres always time for games in the evenings or something. Definitely shouldn’t be an all day event.

I’d be more happy being productive for sure.

@bigLblazed Im in a weird state now haha, some days I’ll game for way to many hours on end, then the next few Im hardly on them
I’m trying to get a job over here So I can cut back on both pot and gaming significantly
