That’s not what any of those studies say, but very interesting, Doctor.
Where did you get the tobacco part? None of the cited studies seem to say anything about tobacco? Research seems to indicate tobacco use is associated with worse COVID outcomes.
OTOH good news for the “CBD will cure everything” folks. Mostly kidding about this part, but obviously cannabinoids can have some powerful effects.
I’ve always thought there was something going on with cannabis and immune responses. Just a feeling, not necessarily well-grounded.
I just had it for 2 weeks man haha and def smoke weed all day
CBD cures male pattern baldness.
Yay!
Gonna get some cream and spread it all over my back. Boy will my wife be surprised.
Yeah and you can spread it into any pattern you want.
Ooh, someone’s getting a back hair manifesto!
Strange as it may seem; there is a growing body of evidence that reports that tobacco use can help people suffering from long covid symptoms. Purportedly it helps dislodge the covid spike proteins from the receptor sites helping the body to remove it and heal. People are using low dose nicotine arm patches with great results, especially those suffering long haul symptoms. There is a bunch of info about it online.
And don’t forget the nipples. Very important.
I have had COVID very badly and I was smoking dabs, joints, and bong hits regularly.
I highly doubt that tobacco smokers would have a resistance to any respiratory illness, virus or infection.
Yeah man if anything prob makes it worse. When did you have it last? Mine was this month and brutal 14 days of hell
Why do you hate Irish people?
@catapult I’ll read that link in a sec but the title mentions nicotine patches, not cigarettes, or vapes etc
I had COVID last about 2 years ago @Headies12green
I wouldn’t wish it on anyone it was horrid
I haven’t bothered getting tested but my house has been a hotbed of infection the past few weeks. I’m still not over it.
OTOH the first few days when I couldn’t smell anything led me to my brilliant thought about terpenes and people who’ve lost their sense of smell.
I was discussing this was some friends a yr or so ago, wondering if there was some kind of correlation between Cannabis and Covid then seen some studies shortly after. Out of a few of us, none had the covid shot , smoke weed everyday, and none of us have had covid.
Yes because smoking cigarettes has a whole host of other problematic side effects. So no, I would not think it wise to pick up smoking cigs to curb your Covid symptoms, the patch however seems worth looking into.
Anecdotally; I have just watched my 35 yo partner, who was in good health, lives an active lifestyle, eats well; get completely debilitated by long covid, for over 3 months; they have struggled to just get up and walk around the house. Within a weeks time of using the patch, they are looking so much better. Their energy and vitality seems to be coming back, they still have down days; but it’s now becoming a rare day vs all day everyday.
Wow that’s great to hear, I hope the recovery is fast, I was down for nearly 3 weeks when I had it
I think it’s more ab exposure than anything else…my job requires visits to tons of restaurants and people so virtually impossible to not catch covid or any virus regardless of how much weed tobacco or safety habits. 3rd time for me since the early days and it’s getting worse. Also some people please cover your damn mouth when in public sneezing or coughing up a storm haha damn
