That’s a pile of BS right there. Government constantly goes after innocent people and the government has all the power if you aren’t rich.

I’d argue that the government is the handmaiden of the super-rich. All else follows.

I would argue the same.

Always said it wasn’t legal they merely changed the rules of engagement. Legal is legal. No debate over plant count. No need to secure cannabis more than your liquor or cigarettes. I’m prior tobacco user and feel about tobacco the same way some folks feel about weed. This wink, wink, nod, nod, the politicians and the PACs do calling cannabis medicine reflects their total lack of understanding on a human level. I interpret their actions as being motivated by greed. Vote for cannabis and we will collect tax dollars, while I collect campaign funds.

Cannabis is medicine like food is medicine. Mountain medicine. Folks boiled willow bark for headache relief. Scientists figured out the active ingredient they made aspirin. In doing so they did not an outlaw willow trees. Cannabis is the same as a willow tree except much more complex in its nature with thc, cbd, terpenes, etc. When you isolate one of the compounds, its becomes incomplete, that’s why mannitol (synthetic thc giving to cancer patients who rejected it) failed. It’s also why when you smoke the whole flower you receive the whole benefit of the plant.

Enough of my ramblings.

The intensity of the anti ganja ilk is certainly ratcheting up big time. WOW.

Holy macaroni!

Marijuana is losing favor because it is a truly harmful substance

The playbook is easily manufactured. Pop Rocks style urban myths by the dozen.

Look out for a sudden spike of children getting poisoned from eating edibles that look like candy. There will be a rash of laced cannabis news stories that sound like 70’s angel dust movies. Cannabis as a front for dealing harder substances in a storefront near you. Etc.

Best to counter the propaganda proactively with positive reinforcement and a commitment to encouraging people to see the plant in a healthy and moderate light.

The refrain, “it’s way less harmful than alcohol or cigarettes,” should be repeated regularly. Followed by “Have you ever met anyone who died from cannabis? How about cigarettes or alcohol?”

My favourite:

“ Libertarianism only works when people are free to act in their own best interest, and by extension that of their family, community, and country. Chemicals like THC are designed to promote the opposite type of citizen.”

I’m more of a citizen than you are. Ridiculous.

It’s a rhinoceros run of a diatribe that hits every deceptive talking point as it races through the china shop hoping to finish the article before Happy Hour.

Notice how they weave in the fake Ohio study on fatal accidents. They plant “studies” to refer to them later. To reinforce layers of lies.

China comes up again. They are hoping to claim that the plant is a foreign Trojan horse manipulated via long “tentacles.” Linked with fentanyl of course.

Frothing little distortion of an article. Hate mongers and demagogues with a dose of sniveling pious-ity.

Cannabis promotes an introspective, critical thinking individual. This is not something that is condusive to obedient worker bees that don’t question their rulers.

Who are they even speaking to? Cannabis is legal or medical in over 90% of states and territories of the US. All someone would have to do is go down to their local dispo and buy a gram to see it is bullshit.

Those always wanted it criminalized have never changed, lie, lie, lie, and when that doesn’t work, lie some more!

You can tell they cannot stand by what they say when they do not allow comments.

EDITED TO ADD: What’s really driving their panic now is the fact that they know they’ve lost the medical argument with 40 out of 50 states having some level of legal medical cannabis, but they are about to LOSE the recreational argument as one more state legalizing recreational and that’s half of all states! GAME OVER!

So how is this gonna work? One day u go to dispo, buy your legal ounce of smoke, and next day when it’s illegal again, they just get your address from the dispo and come to your house and round you up? Isn’t that called illegal “entrapment”?

I think people can win if we learn to work together towards common goals.

I think most people would prefer to be in a live and let live society.
