I am not holding my breath…
Interesting article. We are steeped in companies that were linked to the Nazi machine. BMW, Volkswagen & Mercedes used forced labor from the concentration camps. VW actually operated four concentration camps and eight forced-labor camps- on its property.
Henry Ford was a major supporter of the Nazis and received a medal of honor from them. IBM helped the Nazi regime categorize humans on their way to the slaughter, with their computerized punch card system.
And a lot of Nazi scientists and war criminals magically made their way to the US and its’ satellites after WWII to “aid” with the Cold War via the OSS/CIA’s “Operation Paperclip.”
This is an interesting read on IBM:
As well as NASA
Wernher von Braun, a rocket engineer, was instrumental in developing the first U.S. ballistic missile, the Redstone, and later the Saturn V rocket while serving as director of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. As a Nazi ideologue and member of the SS, he traveled to the Buchenwald concentration camp, where he “handpicked slaves to work for him as laborers,” said Jacobsen in a 2014 interview with NPR.
Everybody in D.C. has been talking the talk and to this day, nobody anywhere is really walking the walk.
That’s really horrible stuff but also we can’t forget that they also let all the members of Japan’s Unit 731 go unpunished so they could use all the research they had on their human experimentation/torture/killing on mostly Chinese but also American POWs etc.
If you don’t believe me, I’ll be posting Men Behind The Sun in the Horror Movie thread right now…
Horrifying with just a quick read. Wasn’t aware of the torture- or the collaboration, but not surprising on the latter considering the US negotiated keeping occupying Japanese soldiers to stay in China during the post-war period to help maintain control over China in its’ favor. One can see how that ended up backfiring.
It’s been years, but harborside Oakland would have the exact same strains , same grower as harborside san jose . And always tested higher thc . Something was funny.
Marketing more heavy to tougher Oakland?
If it is anything like California, they’ll have to recall nearly everything.
Operations have become so used to breaking the rules that they don’t know how to do anything else. It’s going to require a complete shift in their procedures from the ground up. The profits over everything model is a dead end for the customers. Literally they will die or get sick for the bottom line of a business. It’s a selfish mentality that’s really evil and disgusting.
For whatever reason, it seems to me that these cannabis growing companies exhibit a very cavalier attitude towards their customers and the plants they grow and sell.
They just do not appear to care as much as the majority of produce growers actually do.
