Cannabis Current Events and News (Part 3)

Just saying if I was governor the tax rate would between 3% - 5% flat rate.
Anything over 5% seems ridiculous.

Dude thanks for mentioning that. Sometimes I’ve gotten the feeling the terps are hurting, even if the cannabinoids are playing quite nice

Sounds like he needs an organized support campaign.

It amazes me how many people know those countries will literally kill you for any amount of weed or drugs and still try to break their laws. Those stakes are just too high to even think about it. I do feel bad for him but geez

Yes agreed. I think these laws are foolish but it’s not my call.

I remember thinking how stupid do you have to be to bring drugs to Russia given the current climate.

I know a guy who only travels to weed friendly places, meaning at worst it’s just a ticket.

I’m considering getting a short term tourist license for my trip next week. Mostly for the novelty but really I’ll probably just end up finding some on the beach.

China’s black-market marijuana ā€˜tentacles’ have reached Michigan

Yeah we’re not supposed to talk about that here

This reads like a propaganda piece. Tentacles lol. What if I told you that it is the growers from the US within the US who are poisoning you?

Chinese mafia: worse than all the other mafias doing the same thing.

Yeah, it just pisses me off.

Idk the Albanian mob isn’t much better they both traffic in people sadly idk in my book there’s a special place in hell for people who do that

Some growers don’t get bogus tests for the poisons. A lot of it depends on the state. In some states, bogus tests are the standard.

Crap like what’s happening in the story leads to normal every day home growers getting crap from cops, though. Cops don’t care if they think it’s some sort of major operation and come in and find 12 plants.

Human trafficking happens with all sorts of operations. Read a story yesterday where some major Mega Church pastor was raided and had 57 slaves working in their mansion.

Edited to add: And yes, there is some special spot in Hell for people who do that.

Agreed bud I’m sure it happens with plenty of things/places shouldn’t be so

Yep, even so-called ā€œlegalā€ businesses get caught up in it. I would consider a farmer who brings in illegal aliens to harvest a crop and then bring in ICE on pay day to clean it all up pretty much the same thing, too.

Yeah that’s beyond dirty and wrong I don’t doubt some would do it though

A few do it. Then there are the forced labor sweat shops where they bring in immigrants illegally and tell them they owe money for the trip and they can never work off the debt in the sweat shops. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the operations in the story do that very same thing with their grow houses.

I know the cartels used to do it in California back country back in the 80s and 90s.

The same thing happens in Canada too though hopefully not to the same degree. Not long ago a farm about a 1/2 hour away got busted for the same thing. This was vegetables not weed though. Indentured/slave labour.

I remember getting a lot of black market from Laotians.
