Cannabis Current Events and News (Part 3)

You can’t patent a deity @Foreigner

And I already have a trademark on my used condoms, so stop picking through my trash cans at 4am!

It’s going to take a lot of different perspectives on what’s the best approach to go up against the big players pulling all the strings. We have to identify their weak points and take advantage of them. It’s not like most of us traditional cannabis enthusiasts have the kind of money to go against them in their own game. So we have to think outside the box if we’re going to get anywhere. Sometimes cannabis will grow on its own but for the most part it needs caring people to guide them through their lifecycles.

I know one weak point in big cannabis is their growing techniques don’t produce the kind of quality we know can be achieved by small scale producers. So if we can spread the footprint around to all the experts it will add up to a huge amount of extremely high quality cannabis products. That quite possibly can compete and win against the big conglomerates. It’s going to take all of is working together for a common goal to make a difference in the world. I know it’s not impossible if we have the same vision.

It’s an interesting idea. If it was held by a non-profit with an iron-clad charter (and some form of legal self destruct trigger) maybe. In theory, it would be a great legal leverage point if possible. But to prove ownership over all descendant varieties sounds double-edged and I’d see it setting a bad precedent for the big sharks owning all kinds of life. So I’d be concerned.

They pollute the water and then offer to sell you a cleaner version - giving you the “freedom” to choose in the process. Flint, MI is an example. Water supplies are increasingly moving into private hands.

Air is next on that list.

When I’m ordering a pizza I’m unlikely to say “what do you want on your pizza?” I’m more likely to say “do you prefer pepperoni or sausage on your pizza.”

The illusion of choice.

And if I have to have the pineapple conversation again I’ll scream. I just want a pizza dammit.

Coercion via pizza. Slippery slope.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine issues executive order banning sale of intoxicating hemp products

I guess they should have put that he was Ohio King instead of Ohio Governor.

I mean… I know some people feel strongly that it’s important for people to have access to unregulated “THCA” and all the weird THC analogues available in gas stations, etc, but if it’s a state where you can buy regulated cannabis (and can grow your own legally)…

All of the products that mimic name brand candy, etc, they’re just asking for trouble.

That’s why you have legislatures to pass laws to regulate, then if a governor agrees with what is passed they sign it into law.

I am actually ambivalent regarding hemp derived THC products. And I do find it unethical for the Ohio Governor to simply declare that he knows best, and then ban it all. I am convinced that there are people afflicted with chronic pain that derive substantial relief from the hemp derived concoctions currently available. THC P is stupid strong for myself, and I will never use it again, as I am only a recreational user and do not like being obliviated as much as THC P makes me. The THC P high really reminds me of the feeling obtained by taking quaaludes back in the 1970s, not pleasant at all (for me).
To me, THC P is more inebriating than any cannabis that I have ever tried.

So this DeWine Jackass is going to inflict unnecessary pain and suffering on a significant number of his dutiful taxpayers. For shame.

Separation of powers is a good thing.

Did you eat THCp or smoke it? Also very few people ever get plain THCp. It’s usually mixed with other things in almost all products. I’ve found that pure THCp vaporized isn’t overpowering and has a nice high. When you eat it mixed with other compounds. It’s a completely different experience

The Opium Wars never ended.

TLDR, don’t consume THCP

Both, but you are correct, in that, smoking does not last as long, and the high is less dopey, but still not very satisfying to me. Gummies made me feel stupid for over 24 hours, no thanks.

However if I suffered from chronic pain, the P would make me not care, I think.

Here are the gummies that I tried

This is the vape that I bought over a year ago, and will likely never finish.

This is my go to means by which to obtain a decent high, a reasonable alternative to smoking good old weed. And I certainly would prefer good flowers to this, but, alas…

And finally, I would like to add that the above Hemp derived are by far the most satisfying alternative to actually growing my own flowers.
I have friends that hold med cards here in FL, and everything that I have tried (flowers and non hemp derived THC D9 gummies from the dispensaries) has fallen way short of the euphoria provided by the hemp derived products depicted above.

Ok first of all that video doesn’t say anything about THCp. And as much as I don’t like to admit it. I totally agree with @CocoaCoir on this propaganda piece. The guy doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. Almost everything he’s saying is completely wrong. The Chinese are involved in the hemp industry but they grow it and extract it in China. They are not growing hemp in the US. And he’s not educated about the subject enough to even be talking about it. It makes his other allegations seem suspect about all the Chinese grows in the US. They aren’t putting out their own D9 vape carts in all the smoke shops like he says. So much false information it’s upsetting.
