Cannabis Current Events (Part 1)

Over the last several years, some sort of an agenda has been clearly driving their programming. I haven’t exactly been able to pin-point who’s driving that (maybe it’s BU). Or, perhaps, I just didn’t notice it before.

I’ve been avoiding them ever since they’ve apparently caught the “trump derrangement syndrome” with “trump” being inserted every 30 seconds in bizarre and out-of-context conversations…

I wonder if they’re still advertising themselves as “fair and balanced?”

They do (or did) have a public advisory board…

I pulled this quote from piece;

“Powerful black-market forces are threatening New York’s efforts to tax and regulate recreational marijuana, experts said”

Yes, the sinister and malign intent of the very dark black market.
.
Wow.

Uh oh, another article on the menacing, omnipotent black market.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

NJ marijuana dealers say black market will be ‘business as usual,’ even with legal weed

Holy shit, rarely if ever do attempts to stoke fears in conspiracy theorists types come in such well-assembled packages.

“One scam saw $22 million worth of marijuana shipped through hundreds of FedEx deliveries”

drug smuggling will survive even as legalization spreads because criminals will keep undercutting prices.”

And then this bs here!

“Vance’s report noted black market marijuana has also been a source of violent crime, often perpetrated against illegal growers and juvenile sellers.”

The report they cite explicitly states:

“Although overall crimes rates in Denver have increased, the number of crimes related specifically to the marijuana industry remained stable and made up a small portion of overall crime. As a result, Commander James Henning of the Denver Police Department said it is too soon to draw conclusions about any correlation between marijuana legalization and the increase in overall crime rates.”

2019’s going to be an interesting year. A lot of state legislatures are talking about legalization and my prediction is that none of them will do anything this year.

Some of them are speaking favorably about it because they see the public opinion polls running at 64% nationwide. But that’s just the 2-party system doing its thing. Some evil Republicans or procedural gimmicks will be used as an excuse not to do it…again. Handful of Democrats speak in favor because they know and Pharma knows the bills won’t be passed…just like Term Limits…remember how all the politicans wanted term limits back in the 90’s. And what happened.

How’s the fascist urge to take pain meds away from sick people working out??

It could very well be the beginning of the end of credibility for
Berenson and his ilk.
I am guardedly optimistic.

compare the threat from herbal, non-toxic cannabis from Berenson’s lying and harping and you realize you’ve been had - we are the midst of a cancer epidemic that rivals the bubonic plague in terms of impact on society - 40% of American are getting cancer in this life
