Yeah. So while Cannabis can be an effective opiate replacement, it doesnāt appear to be automatic, people have to decide to stop shooting up. Itās looking like pure coincidence whether the correlation is good or bad.
The arrests that keep addicts locked up just long enough to reset their tolerance is probably the number one cause of overdose deaths. A person gets out after a couple weeks thinking they can still blow through three or four bags at once and they turn into another statistic. Another nightmare for another EMT crew.
Unfortunately this issue has been politicized to the point that discerning any objective truth will remain elusive.
