they doubled the tax rate but left home growing alone in Mass - for now! But yes, moving the tax rate from 12% to 23% is going to sustain the black market. Also setting up large barriers to entry for businesses

Funny story, but kind of off topic. Back in 1985 I tried my first grow in the basement of my house. All I did was put some potting soil in some containers, Got a couple 4’ T5 fluorescent tubes and away I went. Light duration was the only thing I controlled. It tasted horrible but smoked good.
I decided to change jobs and had found the one I wanted, but in the interview the question of a drug test came up and I told my prospective boss that I could not pass one. He asked how long it would be before I could pass one and I told him 30 days. He said OK, if you come back in 30 days and pass the test you will have the job.
I immediately went to a local hospital I knew that performed drug tests and asked if I could get one. They asked who sent me and I said no one. I wanted it for my own knowledge. I got a strange look and was told that no one had ever asked to be tested before on their own. I took the test and got a call back a couple days later. The lady said congratulations, you just scored the highest we have ever had anyone score on the THC test. Shit!!! (Never did get a bill for the test.)
I stayed clean for 30 days. Exercised, drank lots of fluids, and stayed away from the herb. Went and got tested and passed.
Long story short, I got the job. And the rest is history.

I’m really disappointed that they left out the biggest dangers involved in smoking pot. Pesticides and molds. A hundred years of smoke inhalation isn’t going to impair your breathing as much as one batch with some of the worse products being sprayed.
