thats some microscope ya got there buddy
Thanks! It’s my oldschool biological research microscope, but I upgraded it with the latest digital optics. The computer enhancement, really bumps it up a notch! The camera isn’t top-notch, but it really was the best I could afford on a hobo’s salary. It can take a reasonable 10MP image, but only decent video at 5fps. The entire setup I detailed earlier at like 4500$. Computer and microscope worth 2K each. It’s like some crazy shit you would see on one of those crime scene tv shows. I carry the photos around to detail the evidence gathering for the hash making project, so I can call em up on the big screen. Seeing things with your own eyes has a greater impact on the mind.
I would have never believed there was actually a crazy colony of micro organisms living in drops of water on that neoprene until I saw that shit with my very own eyes! Even though I knew…that was how to create the pathogen colony… you can still…like live in denial about what the colony is, until you see it. BOOM
ok the pathogens are dead.
You can see they look very different now. Some kind of shit came out of them.
Stumbled across this vid:
Relaxing vibes and pretty images. Shame there are only clear trichomes in mushroom forest tho
heh heh I have already seen that one. Definitely computer generated at probably 4x objective.
Looks like it was freshly chipped out of some Devonian shale

here’s the study I did on that single trichome.
They actually do shrink a tiny tiny bit when they dry out. Most of the change is in the stalk of the trichome, it shriveled up! I can go back and measure it…lemme check. Wow the trichome stalk shrinks from 74/79μm to basically 42μm straight up the stalk on the dried up one.
The measurements are stored in the exif data of the image, so I can go back and measure anything in the photos by just loading it up in the software! There’s another thing… about the digital optics.
You may have noticed the trichome image I printed had a cap measuring 10cm across. So if the trichome is 100μm and there is 1000μm in a millimeter and 10 millimeters in a centimeter and 10 centimeters. so 100000/100 is 1000. So if I can fit 1000 trichome heads in 10 centimeters it must be magnified 1000 times.
Here’s the crazy part of course, I took the photo using 10X objective then made an image 1000X magnification. Digital images are some kind of magic for sure! I should do that with a trichome cap core. Crank it up to 1000X using image enhancement… What clever monkeys we are! Amazing.
here’s another pic I whipped up with image enhance.
It gives it a 3 dimensional look! It’s the core out of a trichome.
I should perhaps just go mental with edge detect and crap. I was using blur and stuff. Just for effect. I think though I could use image processing to make things more visible instead.
Very cool
The glowing trichomes remind me of Blackreach in Skyrim

I’ve been thinking of re-installing that game. I remember I had modded it so crazy my old system couldn’t handle the graphics. I do love being a mage! After a while I had to get tinctured up then it was like a wacky adventure!
holy shit! tell me you don’t love the graphics!
I forgot how amazing that old shitty game was/is.
Meat Shield in Ebony Armor… Just great!
I modded the snot out of that game too. The vistas were amazing in that game, I loved the graphics. That first barrow was huge and amazing
Backstabbing dragons from above? The perk trees? The game play was great!
The dialog was great… I used to be an adventurer like you…
Weed and games just really go so well together…
Loved it

he hheh I had to fire it up for shits and giggles. Gave my high elf character there a spin. Only thing she’s not immune to is physical attack…but hey, you can’t hit what you can’t see.
On the microscope end, buddy wants me to check the different trichome cap sizes on different cultivars. Shit, I already did that study! I’ll tell him I’ll whip up the data overnight. Turns out the trichome caps are pretty much the same, they all vary slightly in size on the same plant. I have never honestly seen a trichome that’s got a cap 200microns or even 150. Not many are larger than 120μm.
