Cannabis regeneration?

Since I’m a relatively new to growing cannabis, I was wondering if anyone has read and employed the the practices outlined in the book" Cannabis Regeneration" by JB Haze? A synopsis of the book is being able to get multiple harvest out of a plant leaving all but a couple bud sites, main stump and growing out to maturity for a second… third harvest?

I’ve read about it in the “Marijuana Grower’s Handbook” but never seen anybody try it… Interesting topic! Also i’ve read about tissue regeneration from primary cell in order to reproduce the plant, and i think it was here actually, but like ten years ago…

Same here. I have read about it but never had the patience to try.

From what the book is saying it’s much faster than starting from seed or clones… much speedier growth to the flowering phase up to 60-70 nice size nuggets in a12"pot depending on staking and trimming techniques,Interesting!

Try it out and let us follow. I would love to see someone do it!

Very much so yes! Super-interesting, but spending time on that seems like it has to be someone like “GrowMau5” who has all the time and resources in the world to fool around all day thinking of projects to make, if not Goa Trance, or COB Led Lamps then this… LOL

I say this because it really is an endeavour not even a task…

I have not read any books but do you mean Cannabis revenging after harvest?

I reveg my plants all the time with great success. It wasn’t the case at first tho. I had to do a lot of trial and error.

The way that works for me is,

I leave the scraggly bottom branches on my plant. I do not trim them or anything. When harvest time comes I cut above several nodes of the scraggly short bottom branches. I then carefully remove the root ball and cut off 1/4 - 1/3 of to root ball and replace with more medium. (I use soiless mix) and put the plant back in.

(If you reveg the longer top branches you will find that when the plant goes back into flower, the branches will not support the buds and they will fall over. Its a mess.)

Then i give water and a shot of CANNA RHIZOTONIC. It will take some time for the plant to go bank into veg and start growing again but this is shorter than making new cuttings and starting again. This is great because if you have a 5 plant limit, you do not need to keep a mother. You can bud all 5 plants.

Hope this has helped.

Revegging is aight. Idk if id say quicker then clones. Clones root in 6 days then start vegging. Reveg can take up to a month sometimes. Plus the size of the pot takes up a ton of room compared to clones. I think cloning would be better. Only reveg if you didnt take cuts of a killer pheno.

I think I’ll give it a go with one of my next plants that I haven’t lollipoped to much! Reveg indoors till healthy growth then move outdoors into some Colorado sunshine!

The book goes on to explain trimming the lower buds to create a flurry of growth rising from the calayx’s these are then pinned down with bamboo sewer hooks allowed to grow horizontally to the edges of the pot in a SOG or SCROG type fashion then flowering is induced in about 5weeks no root trimming needed till the third or fourth harvest sound very interesting indeed!

Yes thank you ganja for your input! Would a nice compost/worm tea work in place of the CANNA RHIZOTONIC ? I like to to keep it as organic as possible even though it may be a organic material the program of feeding from a bottle in my mind isn’t considered organic .

Yes it can replace rhizotonic. Good compost can replace any bottled nutrients out there.

The point you bring up Lotus710 ,in the book talks about the ability to regenerate for that very reason getting a killer pheno to regrow when one may not have taken clones earlier in the growth cycle. Another point of the book is, getting as much possible bud from one plant ,with one light and the cost effectiveness of the whole process without the need of having to do the whole cloning thing ,thank Lotus710 for your input! The more I read about cannabis the the more I realize how truely of an amazing plant it really is!

I think cloning would be faster, cos they will be ready to flower probably even before harvest time…

Bro i am reveggitating the most amazing pheno of girl scout cookies ever. Big fat colas half lb plants in 15 gallon smart pots. I could never give up that plant all I did was replenish the microbes myco etc etc and feed em they did the rest with a 18 6 light cycle. I noticed the new branches actually grow out of the buds. It’s so damd cool.

second time around brother. No problems. Just trim the crap it doesn’t need and let her grow.

Did ya cap the cut in the trunk with tightly sealed tape or glue to avoid possible contamination?
