Chasing a Line of Dank
Queen Annes Revenge
I first saw the Bloodwreck clone in Kaiser Oregon is a dirty bug filled hot grow in a patient’s house I was providing some flower to. I had searched for the infamous Trainwreck clone from Arcata but indoors it kept herming on me and I did not have confidence in breeding with her so I let her go. There are strains from the outdoor climate in Norcal that simply don’t like artificial light I found out later in my life as a breeder. Regardless if this trait shows up indoors, I can’t work with it so when I heard of another cut of wreck I was skeptical. I rescued the sad little cutting from the place and me and my partner at the time Dioxide both nursed a cut to health. He lived about 8 minutes away so we used both his garage and mine to make seeds in. We made Timewreck at my garage in Silverton and we dusted the Bloodwreck with my JTR male at his place. Launching both on the Auction site Breedbay we distributed over 10000 seeds of each globally, back then you couldn’t order seeds off Instagram or even with a credit card people still flew to Amsterdam to buy seeds. It was the dawn of a new age of seed making and we were super aggressive in marketing and the strains grew in fame quickly. Later Koma the Grower found a cutting in Chernobyl he coined “Slymer” and another surfaced called “ The Golden Ticket” and the strain took on its own fame as word of its potency spread around the internet.
I didn’t make anything new with the Bloodwreck cutting for almost 5 years and then in 2017 I decided to pollenate her with my infamous Space Queen male we call “The Dude”. The project was completed and a few testers went out shortly after the fire. I lost around 5000 seeds in the Cobb fire of QAR but I knew it was a great combo so I asked Badger to recreate the project. Thank God Badger had 95% of my parents at his grow in Norcal if not so much would have been lost. Two years later I get a chance to grow her out and just like her sibling Chernobyl QAR is super easy to grow. Very vigorous with huge fan leaves and strong stem support by day 14 of flower I was oozing resin. Out of a 5 pack I got 3 nice females all very similar tall and robust with that classic wreck smell accompanying some nice cherry and citrus tones. I vegged the plants in 2 gallon pots until they showed me sex under 18/6. If you use a scope most plants will show there sex even in 18 hours of light but you have to look closely. I do not like flowering my plants to determine sex the time it takes to revert slows the total harvest time down and can cause mutations. Once sexed I transplant into 15 gallon pots using my Super Soil recipe in the bottom ½ of the container. The top is high quality potting soil and mycos and azos. The pool has 6000 watts of DE HPS Hortilux fixtures in the flower room. I got killer yields from all 3 and we made some amazing bubble from the trim. The I had harvested like 6 strains and I was happy as hell all jars full and then I noticed something. I supply flower to a few patients that deal with chronic pain and when I make donations I try and share as many strains as I have with each of my 4 patients. In my rotation I have Purple Punch, Blueberry, Cuvee, Peacetrain, Dr. Who, Sweettea, Strelka and Queen Anne’s Revenge. A few weeks after I made my first donations, I got a call from a patient telling me that of all the strains he was given that the QAR was the most potent and had the best effect killing his pain. The same thing repeated itself with another patient he wanted only that for his weekly allotment instead of a huge variety I offer. A few weeks after harvest I made bubble hash and used a Harvest Right freeze dryer to process the wet bubble. I really like freeze dried bubble hash some people say that it removes some terpenes but all our hash came out fire this run and the most potent jar was the QAR.
Overall this strain gets high marks for how easy she is to grow; how big she gets and how potent she is. That old Bloodwreck cutting sure has some fire locked inside. As The tester results started pouring in I knew this one would be around for a while. The odd name throws people off I was going for a pirate theme based on the “Bloodwreck” mother plant and I have always loved Blackbeard. While it is not recorded well pirates were absolutely the first smugglers and it would be impossible for them not to pick up Hemp and Cannabis seeds and share or trade them. The barrier islands of Carolina and Georgia all have wild hemp growing on them because as a young man I picked them and tried to smoke them.
While murderous and vicious the preyed off the Aristocrats and wealthy this doesn’t make it right but it certainly adds spice to their tales.
