Chat room (let's chat!) šŸ’¬ (Part 1)

I myself was initially turned on to cannabis because of a low point in my life and my mental health. Iā€™d attempted suicide, been hospitalized, and medicated, which only serves to worsen my issues, for months, until I tried smoking a joint with some school friends, and nothing has changed my outlook quite so much. I still use it to maintain a steady mood and ease my BPD symptoms, but I also live in America, where healthcare is not a guarantee, and I am not insured. And again, this plant found more ways to help me every single day with my chronic joint and nerve pain

Myself and a few others I know have got good anxiety relief from some grand daddy purps phenos and a few different Peanut Butter Breath phenos or crosses. Just 2 that came to mind.

Iā€™m very sorry to hear about your wifeā€™s battle with cancer, but encouraged to hear that she experienced positive results from treatments and cannabis. I hope that cannabis proves to be an effective preventative to keep the cancer in remission. Thatā€™s great that you are growing for her so she can have safe affordable meds.

Iā€™m sure you have an effective treatment and grow strategy.
I recommend keeping a high yielding resinous indica for bulk production of cannabis oil, as well as a few landraces or heirlooms rich in trace cannabinoid content to bolster the entourage effect of your cannabis oil.

The ā€œminorā€ cannabinoids hold a lot of medical potential and allow the body to absorb, metabolize, and make use of the cancer fighting properties of thc, and the cancer preventing properties of cbd.

If I recall, CBG has also been used in colon cancer studies to good effect

Thank you for the encouragement. I agree that a more diverse mix of cannabinoids is a must. CBD is a big part of our home treatment for her and other minor cannabinoids (CBC,CBN,CBG) have proven to have positive benefits to her throughout our experimentation. So many experiments, so little time.

Iā€™ve been experimenting with cbg for helping with intestinal inflammation issues I have, so far so good. Iā€™ve only smoked it, but it seemed to help, I really need to make coconut oil infusion of it. Pain relief was really high on the grapey Walter cbg, but also had a good dose of THC from bioassay, anyways smoking the GW cbg felt almost like a mild opiate, very much a warm hug.

Thank you! I was so close to going with grand daddy purple first! But I think it was heavier Indica and I first went with the GG that I did because it was labeled as 50/50. It works! Iā€™m happy, but you donā€™t know if your favorite color is blue if youā€™ve only seen every color except that one yet.

My mom suffers from chronā€™s and my boyfriend IBS so Iā€™ll keep that in mind!!

Hi breelie, a breeder called strayfox has done a lot of work developing lines to help his brother, a veteran who suffers from ptsd. His ā€œCare Packageā€ and ā€œRodeo Driveā€ were both bred to help with ptsd symptoms. I picked up these lines to help someone with ptsd.

In the old california prop 215 prop 420 medical cannabis system, ā€œheadbandā€ was the primary medication for ptsd. Patients said it gave them a comforting feeling of ā€œcontainmentā€ around their heads which helped them direct their focus away from whatever was overwhelming them (actual description from a vet). It seems like this was a good med for people who were sensitive to loud noises or sudden movements.

I also have increased lucid dreams from cannabis, you are the first person I have ever encountered who experiences the same thing. Most people say cannabis makes them have no dreams at all, but I am the opposite.

I think I have colitis, IBS or Crohnā€™s. No insurance to find out currently, but the 2 cbg strains Iā€™ve grown have both helped. I have desert snow cbg seeds that Iā€™ll be sprouting once I figure out which of my current seedlings are male.

Also sorry to hear about your wife! I watched my exes mom suffer so much from stag 4 lung cancer (she has passed now) They were SO strongly religious (cult) that she felt she would burn eternally in a fire if she did anything that wasnā€™t natural :frowning: trying to convince that marijuana IS natural was a losing battle. I feel like her last days could have been so much easier had she just given it a shot instead of the endless ā€œessential oilsā€ she kept buying :frowning:

Oh bud I so feel you rn. I very greatly fear my chronic pain is a result of muscular dystrophy, but canā€™t ask a doc for an opinion

Yes!! Same, I mean it was just absolutely the most I have ever had! Some were good dreams, gardening, having impossible miniature eco systems, a weird ass mushroom globe, to being assaulted, not getting a food order for an hour while it was an arms length away, you name it!

My mom ended up dying from complications related to her ulcerative colitis, so it definitely stresses me. She caught MRSA from a surgery, then spent almost 6 months in the UofM hospital before hospice.

Thatā€™s really interesting! Yeah, my boyfriend has night terrors and I suggested indica strains as a way to prevent them, as cannabis turns down my dream activity, and I usually induce dreaming via DMT doses before bed, which seems to really make them vivid or lucid.
