Back before they had ziplock bags, baggies just had a flap that folded over the bag. A “LID” was a baggie full of weed, with the flap of the baggie tucked to keep it from falling out.
it was about an ounce and a half I would guess. Then, all of a sudden, someone got the bright idea of selling it by the ounce. Enter the Zip. about a half baggie full for the same price. Inflation.
