After a year and a half, I finally got a letter from the Governor of my shitty state yesterday. A copy/paste style denial form for my pardon application. Oh well, I tried. I have to wait 4 years to try again. Probably only denied because there was no political gain in it. Crooked ass system. It only took them a year to respond to my application, saying that they would review my case and send it to the governor so he could say yay or nay.
Applied for Pardon -> 1 year later I get a generic letter that says they accepted my application for a pardon, and would forward it to the Governor's office. 1.5 years later, I get a denial. Can anyone tell me why shit like that takes so fucking long? lol.
Edit again: For context, I have 2 felonies for growing 10 years ago. I know i've got this posted somewhere else but for those that don't wanna dig it up, basically I was renting the spot I grew in, and the landlord failed to provide notice she was entering the property. I was young, stupid, and scared and didn't fight it. So I got a manufacturing a controlled substance and a paraphernalia charge. Nothing Violent at all.
