Good morning everyone! I got an update on the 5x5 and mothers today. In the 5x5 i just topped all 3 of the gary payton, i did some more supercropping and training with the landscape staples on the gelato 33, i transplanted all the clones in the cloner that had enough roots and havd a 100% sucess rate on gary payton and cannatonic which was awesome! Im saving that recipe for my harder to root clones and ill have to dial it back for SSDD and thin mints as they were getting a bit burnt moreso the SSDD tho. Then we go to the SLR reveg which is finally showing new growth! A quick check in on the mother tent and it seems like the small SSDD is getting a tad burnt but all the other new transplants to reset my mothers are doing well. Just got the gary payton and g33 replacements into a coco cell and ill replace those mothers soon. Lastly we come to the quarantine tent where my wife is starting some outdoor veggies and where we have the indiana bubblegum and cherry ak 47. Probably in another week ill transplant those to 1 gallons and move them in with the mothers
For anyone not keeping up with the videos we said that the next grow in the 4x8 after the gary payton will be the chemtk phenohunt for the best female then after that it will be either banana OG f5 regs or the arcata trainwreck. In the 5x5 after the midnight snack run we will be doing a mother run of either 4 cotton candy or 4 Sunshine daydream. In the project tent (32x32x63) we will be doing gelato 33 (current grow but plant hasn’t been moved to that specific tent yet) then banana OG and whatever one we didnt run for the next 5x5 run. After the mothers my wife was talking about running the 2 bama nana pudding seeds we have and being as there is only 2 i might slip in another plant but thats tbd still
Got in a package from tikimadman today and it was my gary satan seeds and a freebie! I asked for extra care on the packaging and got sent a bunch of stickers for cushion! Lol. The wife is a sucker for stickers and im a sucker for free seeds so win win! But i love how this was packaged and you get a free grove bag style bag
Sweet stuff here!! You have three cuts I’m curious about and one I know is killer. Haha. Gary Payton is a winner for sure. Now, the others. Haha. Banana OG, does it have a banana taste or smell to it or is just a killer OG cut? Cherry AK47, does it taste or smell like cherries? Arcata Trainwreck I’ve always just been curious, because it was so popular when I was younger and I’ve never seen it grown or anything. Does it have that almost black pepper like taste/effect when you first hit? Haha. Nice work in here and best of luck with the future growing!!
You know i dont know about any of them but the gary payton as i havent grown them out yet. I dont think ive ever tried the arcata trainwreck or any of those strains at the dispo or back in the day so it will be new to me. Gary payton is super fire tho shes my favorite mother!
Ohhhh shit, my bad. I didn’t realize everything besides the Gary Payton was super new. Haha. I’ll be interested to find out when you get around to them though. Haha
Good morning everyone! I hope yall are having a great day so far! I went ahead and started the training on the gary payton, continued training on g33, and took the big fan leaves off the midnight snack to try and stall growth a bit so the smaller one can catch up but shes growing pretty quick now! I wanted to do the smaller midnight snack with the airdome and air base but my wife said a better comparison would be 2 plants or more from the same clone to really see the difference so ill just use the air base and air dome on both mdinight snacks (if i remember lol) but that #1 midnight is gonna be a beast for sure. For anyone curious i use these supercropping pliers and then landscape staples after the bend/break. These pliers make life and training 100x easier for me because before i was rolling stems in between my fingers and really hurting myself due to tendinitis and this has also saved me from snapping branches when i actually use them lmfao!
I like the idea of that tool, it seems like it would be easier to get better reach with it.
Just an update on the Athena Cuts cloning gel I talked about a couple weeks back…it rocks! I just had to tell someone because I tried using Foop brand cloning gel, and maybe got 1 out of 5 to root if I was lucky. This time I got 11/11! The roots were coming out of the sides, bottom and even the top of the Rapid Rooters in the tray lol. The 2 strains I got cuttings from was Dessert Delight and Dropout Bear
I love my little clone squirt bottle, makes using it so easy. Hope other companies pick up on it.

Im looking for something thats got a sweet banana runtz candy smell and taste but ends on a gassy note. I checked out that strain and it sucks they dont have a terp report or anything so ill have to pass on it for the time being
I love doing that because it makes nice beefy stems! I started popping the main stems as well and i feel like it leads to much bigger and better plants. Kyle kushman chiropractics
if a female plant gets late into flower without being pollinated it will throw a nanner or two and self pollinate itself. natures way of ensuring survival of the plant…
the seed will be a fem of whatever strain it came from. i have grown many of them out. a true self pollination will not herm if the mom was stable during the grow.
you get a fem without having to do the reversal / selfing thing.
Thats really good information thanks @mainerJ. I hope everyone is having a great day so far! I transplanted 2 more clones from the cloner and now i just need to get some good clones off of SSDD. I have one in the cloner that doesnt look terrible with roots and so it wasnt feeling alone i left another SSDD in there in about the same state but one had roots starting and i was hopeful the other one isnt far behind but ill take more clones probably next week and try with a new recipe. This was the thin mints i transplanted today and it just blew my mind how the roots started from a branch i didnt cut back all the way so i had to be careful when putting it in coco not to break the roots but all went well
Yeah that was the thin mints! I took 2x as many clones as what i needed and tossed all the extras but i think only 1 of the 4 SSDD will root for me. The 2 i tossed today looked pretty much dead like no leaves left so they need something different. Considering this is the most finicky plant we have my wife is really thinking about running her instead the cotton candy for the next grow in the 5x5 because there is no point babying 1 plant of the bunch if we dont even like it and we’ve held onto it for a while now. Cotton candy will then be grown after the banana OG in the project tent
On a side note i was talking to my dad the other day and he really likes all the skunk smell from bud and would like if i can find and grow out a strain that rieks of skunk spray or roadkill skunk. I watch/listen to a lot of DGC when im down at my dads helping him all day and they said skunkman sam skunk #1 is a good place to start and then mentioned roadkill skunk which idk if thats a strain as well but id love to hear suggestions on the best one and if it were a sativa that would seal the deal. Im leaning towards that skunk #1 if its legit
