Chez Calix - Journey of a Junior grower

They’ve been pretty pale green a few times now. . . I will try a good flush maybe ?

I would probably ride it out to the end. I don’t like to keep making changes. Especially during flowering. Your call will be the best call.

I was going to follow up and say I will continue the feed cycle until the end + I did/do agree with your first time suggestion on it being best to ride it out

However. For future lockouts- I can attempt a flush to resolve.

Thanks .

I will run them for another 3-4 weeks regardless …hoping they beef up a little.

How do you flush it? Using distilled water or 25 percent leeching solution?

My friend advised me in the past to run water through the soil until PPM very low… .alot alot alot of water. Perhaps distilled water thats been left out in reservoir for a few days ?

I haven’t decided to do this yet. This was past suggestion for if fed wrong ph too high or low or over fed or any issues .

Yep you can perform a reset of the conductivity, if you want to.

Plants are looking good. That’s the downfall with seedlings they seem to take for ever to get big . I usually will veg seeds 2 months before cloning and sending off to flower.

Thanks ! They are turning out okay! Nice funky fruity smells .

I popped my seeds a couple weeks into flower thinking they’d be growing like rooted clones . Woops.

I don’t know if these seedlings are going to pick up the pace or not. I might have to try out some t5s or anything other than these blurples.
D
Looks like I’ll have a tent to dry in at least lol!

I will also have to start my next run of seeds sooner rather than later - everything I got going are regs - which I’ve never grown before so sexing them will be a whole new learning experience - one I’m sure y’all.will help with !

Hey Shiska !
What do you think the possibilities are that my seedlings are stunted is due to shitty blurple??? Temps are fine … I just started to give them 4 hours dark

I’m at 3 weeks and they are just starting to develop . .if at all…but 21 days . And one is an auto lol. .
I’m considering tossing the blurples and taking one from my flower tent to get them going…

Also considering popping more seeds with a better medium mix … I did everything right I assumed… They just aren’t thriving

I don’t wear patience well.

I am going to germ some beans tonight and steal my light from flower and raise the other one to cover the tent… And I’ll even throw in two blurples to supplement the loss of the 100w light

Ya burple lights I’ve never had good results if you’ve got a different light I’d be firing it up see if that changes the way there growing.

Halloween everywhere.
Following on @DougDawson foot steps and using semi clear So i can watch the root develop ment!!!
Wooooo
(They didn’t have red anyway)

What is best way to poke drain holes in these?

I hit mine with a Dremel but you can also just heat up something metal with a lighter and poke holes. Be sure to get them around the raised rim

The heat was what I was thinking also.

Drain holes at the raised ring part - not the bottom ?

This will allow for proper drainage / not be blocked by the floor it’s sitting on m right?

Appreciate the tip

I just use a drill and press gently but firmly untill the drill pops through. However I suspect a heating rod would work the easiest.

Both, the bottom and the raised ring. They changed the design on some so that raised ring is there now. If you don’t put holes in that ring water sits in it and does not drain. I would also put them on something other than the floor, even a couple pencils to raise them so they drain properly can help

I have the bottom of a humidity dome that I use that should work.

Okay guys.

Thank you !

I will pick up another one like this

I use a soldering iron. A step drill bit works well too. I’ve even seen people just cut four slits on the bottom.

I will try the drill with a drill bit on it and put the holes at the lip and bottom. Or just cut some triangle type Holes with a razor blade

Is there nutrients in HP & BX soil ?

When I mixed my soil for transplant mid veg I added a all purpose fertilizer . I think that would be too hot for seedlings.

Now I remember how I had bigger buds my first grow LOL my side wall blurple action had to of helped . Definitly need eye glasses

Took my blurples from veg tent . Threw em in flower and took a decent led for veg tent…all in all same lights just different orientations.

Let’s do it

I will spend a bit more time hanging the lights at a better angle tomorrow.

The Buds are maturing nicely
