The low humidity never really clicked with me until you said it.
It has been reading around high 30 RH.
I was running 24-0 lights .
I read that humidity levels go up during lights out.
I finally switched to 20-4 and ive been getting high 40s now.
I am pretty sure veg plants like a bit higher humidity - so hopefully when my plants start drinking more I can water more often and humidity levels will go up.
How long should I keep the seedlings in a dome? I put it on Nd off throughout the day and over night.
Sometimes the soil.is warm … this probably isn’t good hey…
I keep my root zone at 18-20C, so if your temperature is like 30C, that’s definitely not good. Or under 16C, that’s not good either. The cooking thermometer will work.
I should be able To keep the seedlings on the Mat at a pretty decent temp.
I will haven to stick digi thermometer in there tomorrow when I feel the soil is warm , then I can have some data to work with!
Super happy my plants turned around and l finally have some plants vegging after 2 months of madnesses. And 20 seeds.
3 males and 2 females , not bad!
I’m wondering if I should take clones from these two females when they are healthy and growing fast.
I will know they are females. Just wondering if the clones would be the same stunted little brats or If that’s from my environment, I think if I could root clones of them , they would grow a lot truer to they’re genetics. Especially if i have a more controlled environment and happy medium.
My two girls are kicking ass. The G13 ESPECIALLY is loving her space. all leaves are healthy looking. Vibrant green shoots and lots of them.
I just tackled the top again allowing them lowers to catch up .
I haven’t much room but I will keep growing everything that lives for now lol. May even consider setting up the other tent again now that I’ve figured out my root zOne issues. 99% positive it’s because I moved the tent into the launndry room in the basement and thought it would be okay on the laminate floor Nope. I put them back in the furnace room on-top of a pallet. Kept a eye on temps LEFT THEN THE EFF ALone for 2 weeks lol
Going to be up-potting the one FEMINIZED Plant I have going. See through cup behind two veg plants .
Alien o.g. and NUt butters (lol) are coming up fast - goes to show the difference when you have your root zone dialed in and waterng and temps.
Molokai frost citrus are under the blurples
When the molokais are bit bigger I will haul the mat out of there. And hang up the 2*4 light .
@Barefrog - these beautiful veg plants are of your gift . I apologize for sacrificing a few along the way in the name of science . However this gift of life and experience is priceless!
The two Veg females I have are a G13 and a Saginaw valley skunk
The g13 smells like SKUNK / and or faint DOG POOP lol (left)
The skunk smells like peppery citrus(right)
(Stem Rub after doing some super bending and squeezing)
i gave both of them a hnice haircut this morning lol . . .was too bushy…my curse
I will have to go though my photo reel to see if I mixed anything up
I was playing a game of pool and kept smelling a skunky dog shit lol and said wtf ? I wasn’t even touching the plant labelled skunk.
And here is what I did today.
My second tent was empty. I had a thin garbage bag with my soil and perlite in it pretty uneven mix. So I had the great idea (lol) to dump it in the skirt /tarp in other tent and mix it in there… it actually went really smooth.
Only had enough for 5 1.67gal pots today
Here’s some Photos of today’s work space.
Look at those roots. Lots going on beneath the surface !! And all the little micro greens from the living soil lol
I was just in the tent and they have grown broader already - since They’re transplant yesterday evening…
I’m taking this sign as a successful transition.
I might get rid of that 200w light and put in the 100. For some reason the 100w pan light keeps the tent warmer.
I can. still keep 24 easily. But with the 100w I was hitting 26-27 and having to dial it back.
This 200w is on 100% and scraping by 24. With the supplemental blurple - which works great to steady the temps.
I won’t get as much coverage but I can try putting the light higher.
