Boy! I’ve been snoozing on this run! Can’t believe I missed it till now. I’ll be catching up on the thread. Grew up hearing about Chocolate Thai. It sounds exotic and wonderful!
If you take the kind of small tweezers that go in a Swiss Army knife, and in the closed position push it into the crack of the seed. When you let them open, it opens the shell( usually). I don’t know if it’s common with Afghani landrace’s, but my old Afghani line seems to do that quite often. I’ve waited to see if they pop off naturally, and the Sprout has rotted right in the seed if I waited too long…
@Instg8ter bummer about that hard fucking shell.
Plants are looking good . Thank you for taking the time to do this run it means a lot to us Sativa heads .
It’s one of my favorite 2 plants, wouldn’t pass it up. Only the STRONG survive in the Jungle…
Finger crossed!
So awesome of you to add to the community like this. I’ve always heard about Thai.
Good job bro. Good job.
cant wait to get a look at all these grow following for sure
Been holding out update to see if I could find a bright side. Had brown out last week on 95 degree day and when lights came back on something went haywire with the ballast and my veg room hit 105+ When I got home at 8. As of now there are 4 still going with two not spreading leaf. And to top my week off I have 0 action on the OG seeds 2 days in shot glass and three in towels. Just to make sure I threw down 9 I plan to run along with, 100% tails in 3 days. Cracked them and back in towel to see if I get any tails. Really screwing to pooch on this one…
Bummer, are those beans in the towel the last of the bunch?
Yes, that is not good news.
I have 15 more to drop from Barefrog, hopefully I can get a breeding population. The ones I dropped are Purple Thai, Pineapple Thai and Durban Thai Highflier II. 3 each. I’ll be dropping some Purple Pineapple Thai and a few other x’s with the Pineapple and Black Pearl…May put a few of the OG in mini DWC to see if I can get any action…
Whereabouts are you? I have an uncle on the Kenai Peninsula.
I live in the interior.
Chilly! Some cold,dark winters!
Gotta love it to live here that’s for sure .
I lost alot of seedlings this year cause the shell stuck and not knowing how to fix. I’ll get pointers off this thread, thanks for sharing
Try tweezers. See above for details…not too far back
