4 of 4 up. One to be removed for the purposes of a GvG with @toastyjakes. Better hope it’s a female . Each square is 38mm (bar the outer edge squares) will be a long game this one but let’s see if we can put on a bit of a show

Started the light for this run. 4 x solstrip x2 2700k to be driven @180w. (Driver on the way. Cheap Chinese non dimmable)
2x cititled cluo38 3500k mounted on Arctic pro 64 heatsinks. To be powered by that shit Amazon driver I got for about 6 quid on prime ages ago and had no use for.
Some table saw braces make the adjust-a-cob wings and the heatsinks also pivot meaning I can focus the light.

I’ve found Scrog nets are only any use for supporting the weight of colas. Yes I’ve tied plants down to keep the canopy level and defoaliated regular. Fuck scrogging. A lot of work for nowt.

I’ve always wanted a crack myself bro. So I’m gonna cos why not. If it’s shit for me then I won’t do it again  I’m only going single plant in there anyway. So should go a good way to maintaining an even ish canopy

Be Prepared For Endless Amounts of work . I can’t say it doesn’t work mate. With plenty veg and patience (something I’m lacking) I’m sure you will grow an ubundance. I just can’t be arsed

That’s a cracking looking rig @anon58740919 thought you’d made some kind of drone lamp at first

Cheers bro. Not bad for another predominantly made from scraps light lol. Had to pay 6 quid for a shit 24v driver. And a couple quid for 2 extra lifting eye bolts :sunglasses:

Not gonna take my chances letting it hover mate  eye hooks can stick it up and rope ratchets. None of it is dimmable although I am considering making them like 2 separate lights. (AC side)

Why do people use dimmers? is it for longevity or is it better to dim light a bit for flowering?

It’s light for veg you are best with dimming if your light is a “straight through” light. seed to harvest then dimming is a very welcome addition. Increase light throughout your run

I use dimmers to maintain a constant DLI (daily lighting integral). This is the total light the plant gets per day. It is usually measured in PAR spectrum.

I do something similar, but I use wattage instead of PPFD. For example I run 120 watts on veg. This is 18 hours x 120 watts = 2.16 kWh daily. When I switch to flower, I bump up the lights to 180 watts. This is 12 hours x 180 watts = 2.16 kWh daily. After the first two or three weeks of flower I bump the lights up a bit more, generally about 200 watts total.

I also have a fancy lighting controller I use on the other side of my workbench. This one will simulate sunrise and sunset. The light here aveages about 200 watts for 12 hours (2.4 kWh).
