Our environment affects us and we affect our environment, the more of us there are the greater the effect. WE are the issue not the environment, it just is......
They planted around 1000sq miles of dark green fir trees in my county in the later part of the last century. They stay dark green all year round, warm the environment around them for miles, give homes to trillions of biting insects (see the Scottish Midge) that ruin the few good days we do get and put off tourists. Oh and they acidify our rivers and lochs (lakes) leaving many of the smaller ones devoid of fish etc. Since the early 1980's we have seen our average rainfall almost double, we get virtually no summer at all it just rains for weeks at a time. We have hundreds of decent farms but crop farming is finished, everything rots. The seemingly endless dark depresses the crap out of us all and the total damage is probably incalculable.
On the up side a small handful of people get some work (though they are mainly outside contractors) and an even smaller handful of already rich landowners, who don't have to live with the mess their 'sustainable eco' industry causes get a little bit richer roughly every 25yrs or so.
Anyone still wondering why they let so few of us own firearms?
