I'm all about honesty over comfort, to the point of self-harm.
If a person were to assess global phenomena based on their individual experience in their locale, they would be wise to reconsider their technique. Simple people only understand simply (the bulk of the domestic hairless ape tribe ) and labels such as "global warming" or "climate change" while imprecise make for digestability.
So, conveying "rapid amplification of magnitudes" and "increasingly erratic, non-'historic" weather, meterology, basic science, moral fundamentals, interdependent-systems, the Tao Mr.Sparkle, LITFA, etc.......all interfere with the person's prepccupation with people chasing a ball of some sort.
... can't remember now... heh.
