I have pondered this question as well, because I have had roots on fresh cuttings in peat pellets in around 3 days. I just ask for personal information and general knowledge. Maybe it would be worth building a cloner in the future, who is too say?

What’s everyone’s preferred way to clean cuttings to ensure they’re pest free when you go to root them?

@CruJones I like to alternate between using a mild Neem oil solution and a mild Azamax solution the next round (3-6days). I’d have to check my notes on the amounts. I cut 45, dip in clone gel, dip in solution, shake and put into collar or soil.

I try for snips instead of rooted cuts, easier to clean. Run tap water and full force running them under and submerge 30 mins. If rooted I clean away rockwool to expose the roots then submerge.

I give them a day to recover in a cloner with humidity dome and light nutrient solution, lights at half power. then give them 4 treatment s of

I also submerge in water with a little dawn dish soap, H2O2 and a pinch of citric acid mixed in. After 30 minutes or so, i rinse well.

Just curious, so you wash in hydrogen peroxide when you harvest?

Short answer no long answer I did once but only because I had sprayed it with bleach.

Would washing remove the nastiness from the End All? I dunno. Maybe.

I don’t ship clones through the mail during the summertime, specially during the extreme heat we are having now in the US…

you could wrap the clone is some insulation type material, even with a ice pack (warped in paper so it’s not too too cold) the way they ship beneficial insects, priority mail overnight is affordable considering the value of a good cut

but regular mail hellll no!
