Cloning from a flowering plant. Tips n tricks? Do’s & Don’ts?

I have taken cuts from low branches on plants far in flower. Aim for low bud to leaf branches. More leaves. Don’t snip leaves like I see lot of people do. Reveg is usually a month. But 2 weeks of that is getting roots. I’d keep 24 hr light on em so there’s no confusion.
