Wanted to reach out to see if there is a respected grower / landrace enthusiast who would be interested in doing a seed run of a rare and potentially novel strain
Backstory is that a good friend of mine went to the Seychelles not long ago to visit family and was able to bring back some seeds sourced from the local herb
It was originally 16 beans. I gave 5 to a good friend, who wasn’t ready for a super long-flowering sativa and was only able to hybridize it, but not preserve it
So I have 11 beans left of this Seychelles strain, which could likely be a landrace (though not one I have heard of), and I would hate to blow it by losing the genetics
Wanted to post something in this section to see if there’s anyone into exploring and/or preserving landraces who might be willing to grow it out + share the genetics
I’m currently in a situation which prevents me from growing, or I’d probably just grow this out myself, but I’ve only grown outs and definitely don’t live in the right latitude
And I know that sending seeds off carries a risk as well, but I’ve given this a lot of thought and would love to benefit others with something potentially amazing, like herb can be
If you know anyone here who would be down to explore some rare genetics and help produce and share more seeds of a variety unavailable on the market, let me know!
