Coda's Girl Crush (Twenty20 Medocino)

Mornin’ Folks, just wanted to drop a quick report on my Girl Crush from Twenty20 Mendocino.

As always, the opinions expressed in this report belong solely to the author and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Overgrow or any other group or individual. Any similarities to plants living or dead, is purely coincidental. This is one plant (data point), your mileage may vary.

Standard 10-gallon, tall, grow bag. 4X3X8 grow area. She was a healthy plant all through veg and flower. Dark and wavy leaves that became more prominent the longer she flowered. At first, I thought it was too much nitrogen, but there was no clawing or obvious distress. Here she is just after the flip :arrow_down_small:

I believe the following pics were taken at one-week intervals after I flipped her +/- a day or so.

She was kind of odd in that she had very little resin on top of her sugar leaves, but the bottoms were covered. There was a lot of purple striping on the undersides of the leaves as well. Quick wet trim of a single cola :arrow_down_small:

Some dry trim :arrow_down_small:

I’m still in the process of trimming her. I’ve been doing it in stages because we just pulled a GG#4 and I’m running out of drying room.

Growth - Very easy to grow. Vigorous all through veg and flower, and very healthy. Fed her dry amendments roughly every two weeks. She had zero intersex traits.

Appearance - Super healthy, dark green leaves. Stems are really strong, and the weight of the flowers did not bow them too much. Dried buds are reasonably dense and hard. She isn’t a frost monster on top, but she is on the under sides of the sugar leaves. That’s a new one to me.

Yield - I’m still trimming, but she’s a giver. Not so much in the size of the buds but the quantity of them.

Smell - Dank, skunky bud. A carbon scrubber is an absolute must.

Taste - Dank, skunky bud with a hint of coffee. Smooth, but strong.

Quality - Potent and really stoney. “Did I just end that sentence with the?” type stoney. Her scissor hash was insane.

Final thoughts:

If I had more time and less other gear to try, I would seriously hunt through her seeds. I get the impression there are some real gems to be found there. This was yet another example of not a frost monster and yet a serious ass kicker.

Hope this helps, happy growing!

I found a pheno with wavy leaves like yours in a gelato hybrid pack.

Maybe that’s an expression to look for in those hybrids? Mine was really good too.
