How you doing OG folks.

I’m not new to growing but I’ve been down a while after moving house. After feeling out the neighbours for a while to see if it’s a feasible location where we have moved. We figured that it isn’t really…but fuck em. I’m setting up again anyway.

Due to having an expensive toddler and paying for college myself my budget is tight. (Ducks arse kinda tight).

So far I have a 400/600w switching ballast. 6 inch cool tube (with 4 inch reducers cos poor) and a 600w dual spec hps bulb. Once I get a wage this month I can buy a tent 120x60x150cm. And a 4 inch fan and filter.
I managed to get hold of some bodhi sunshine daydream f2s and clusterfunk f2s replaced by a good friend local and had a few OGer’s offered to send other beans to get me back up and running. Its gonna be a slow process with a start to finish run from seed in the mentioned setup before I upgrade to a 2nd tent for propagation and veg so I can get something at least semi perpetual running.

I’ll be sharing all aspects of my journey in this thread. The good the bad and the ugly and hope to have many of you along for the ride.

Cob build using citizen clu048 and mean well hlg320h c700a a while back. @Jellypowered can vouch that it is my work as he watched the progress of the build elsewhere. Actual draw varied between 80ish watts and 280ish watts. Added the ammeter to monitor the draw because well I was curious

6 x clusterfunk f2s getting a dunk and turns out I’ve got 5 jiffy’s. so they’re soaking. If all 6 do pop then ones going in straight soil…no expensive stuff literally will be using a potting mix. Will add a bit of perlite when I pot up again.

not sure how much space you have, but i ordered this companys tent off amazon… it had quite a few pinhole light leaks but it’s in its own room so i didnt bother patching with gorilla tape or something but the zipper and the construction was decent… they have a 39x39x79 (100x100x200) for $119cad which is a pretty good deal imo… i got the 48x48 version for a bit more

I ordered a 120x60x150cm tent on eBay last night courtesy of jelly. That should be here Monday. I’m honestly not that fussy a chap. Pinholes can be dealt with with a bit of tape (from experience). Previously ran in a 120x120x200 tent but don’t have the space this time. cola

Woke up this morning and checked the clusterfunk f2s I popped yesterday. 4 have cracked. 2 haven’t yet so popped them in a paper towel in a tub by the warmer. 4/6 for old bodhi f2s is not a bad germ rate anyway in my opinion. Others may have a different one.

Think I’m gonna skip the jiffy’s and pop straight in soil once we have 5mm taproots showing. Probably today. Possibly tomorrow but I’ll dig my non iPhone out for pics as the camera won’t focus on this one. Stay tuned folks.

After checking again. 6 of 6 have split so potted up into a compost/sand mix at 3/1. And wetted then in. Labelled all my pots ready to clone and flip to sex at the earliest possible occasion. (Space is limited after all).

Let’s see how many can break soil over the next week or so. Pics to follow later. I am just going to use an old dodgy screen android for them. Makes my process long but a picture speaks a thousand words so worth the effort imo.

Tent/timer/hangers on the way over the next few days. Still got ballast/cooltube/hps to hand. So just a fan and filter to source now.

All 6 taking residence by the warmer until we break soil. Then they can have a few days under some soft light before the tent comes. 400w going over them from there. My veg time to flip is not any set time. Just however long it takes to root a successful cut of each. (not been my strong point cloning) but you only fail when you stop trying right?)

I didn’t personally but I got to see what it did lol. It works as intended So that’s enough me. 600 will do the job I need it to nicely anyway. As long as some break soil.

How you all doing OG’ers. Quick update with some of that good bad and ugly I promised.

The good: tent arrived 3 days early.

The bad: I still haven’t emptied the bastard shed fully.

The ugly: some damp on the shed roof and floor. Plus a small bit of wall. Bleach sprayed the entire shed to be safe.

Some more good actually… the mrs just plated up my tea (dinner to the rest of the world). So chilli and rice. Followed by a home bake flapjack and an absolute warhead for the real dessert. Stay tuned folks I think this is the start of something beautiful.
