(complete) Temple Flo Co-op preservation seed run

Ok. Sounds like a plan then. I am gonna cull that early male today or tomorrow. He definitely was viable. Lots of seeds on pre flowers and he would have been the father. So I assume all the biggest seeds will be his doings.

Excellent! I’m glad you got out and got one. I’m sure it was good for the head!

After you’re sure that the last of the males have done their thing you can spray the whole tent down to kill any errant pollen that’s hanging around, that stuff can get everywhere and rear it’s head during the subsequent sensi grow, so you want to be on it with cleaning after the run is done. Spraying after the males finish keeps it from migrating too far out of your tent space only to get dragged back in later on. Just make sure you give em a couple days to know that the pollen has found the proper pistils before you hose it all down. So happy to see you’re having success dude! Good on ya :v:t2:

Nope, but you can if you want to.

This is the pollen I got out of that early male using my Kavman pollen collector. Quite a bit of contamination. Next try I will shake more gently and keep the pot further away. Or maybe cut the plant down and then shake. Gonna clean this batch as well as I can and store it in an airtight container with one of those Eva dry things I read about on here. Hopefully the next batch turns out cleaner.
I know a few people have been asking about getting some pollen. I will try and save as much as I can. If interested please dm me to avoid clogging the thread

Can’t recommend this enough for cleaning pollen:

4.5” Aluminum Pollen Shaker https://a.co/d/ikreeqY

Big ups Doug Dawson for sharing that one

@LegsMahoney Thanks for re-posting that…saw it once and could never find it again! :joy:
Now is it just because I’m in Asia? It says “Currently Unavailable” for me?

Hope you can score one. When people recommend things here it’s probably worth getting. Thanks again @LegsMahoney for the heads up.

@Tlander @Kavman happy to help with reposting, all credit to Doug for showing me that one

@Tlander not sure about the availability issue, but definitely could be your location, I was looking at Japanese pipes on amazon The other night that we’re all unavailable to me based on my location

@LegsMahoney Funny enough, my old favorite pipe was a Japanese thin-stemmed bamboo & brass opium pipe that a Japanese lady friend gifted to me back in 1975! Been looking for one for the last few years to use as a rosen pipe.

I’ve searched all the Asian Amazon-style websites for that Aluminum sifter to no avail! I want it for actual pollen sifting, not as all the commenters on that site seem to use it to sift their trim! Damn shipping costs from US are just crazy! Tried to buy Chlorine test strips yesterday for testing hypoclorious acid… 100 thin little strips of paper in a plastic tube the size of a gum package costs $16 US…Shipping = $92! :sob:

Thanks again bro!

Couldn’t get one of those pollen sifter till next week so had to make my own.

You can see the difference from that first batch I made in the picture. I believe the screen is a 25 micron pressing screen I had laying around. When the going gets tough the tough get weird or something like that I read in here someplace.

Great job! Now you don’t need to buy one

Hell yea dude, that looks like it worked as well as the sifter. That’s some good tech to keep in mind, way to go

It works pretty good too. I shake it straight into the storing container to minimize pollen dust flying around.

Thanks @LegsMahoney I couldn’t wait the week to get through Amazon. After all my ancestors invented the wheel.
