Well it’s time for me to start my 2nd indoor grow. I received great advice and great interest from growers on here for all my grows. Thanks Overgrowers!
I ordered some California Cannon seeds today for this grow. I am going to use a soil base medium for this grow unlike my first one which was dwc.
So in the meantime while I’m waiting on my seeds I need to come up with a soil recipe. Please help me Overgrowers what should my soil medium consist of? Thanks!!

My personal preference is sunshine #4 soiless simply for ease of use. There are many other mediums and recipes but this has worked for me since the 90s. Good luck.

Well on this grow I’m going to go soil and prep it the best I can with all I got. I’m going to only use what I got this time go around and I did spend 30 extra at Lowes for this. I’m only about 20 percent sure of what I’m doing for this 2nd grow so please bare with me.
3-2 1/2 gallon pots
For the medium:
2 gallons of fresh aerated compost tea.
One cup of fish hydro.
One cup of liquid seaweed
8 cups of bone meal
4 cups of blood meal
6 cups of primo hardwood ash
For the medium:
3.5 gallons of miracle grow organic aged compost. (Wooded).
2 gallons of peat moss.
2 gallons of black cow manure compost.
I mixed in a large plastic toat and I’m gonna cook it for a week in the sun. I’ll break it up when needed and add water as I go along.
To me the nutrient mix looked more then the numbers in my head lol.
I’m sure it’s hot on N.
I’m way open on suggestions

Throw in some gypsum if you can. That does seem like alot of blood meal. I always check with @Tinytuttle and Reiko on stuff like this. They are way more practiced on this than I.

Lol ! blood meal is ok I personally don’t use it it can get stuff going thermal if to much is used my main source of N believe it or not is EWC It’s my “Holy Grail “ ingredient! And I do cover crops when the mood strikes me.

I did throw some gypsum and lime in there. I’m on the fence on adding some Epson salt
