I’m watching the facts as best can be gleaned and acting accordingly. It’s not even started yet in the US.
In the back of my mind is the 1918 Flu which at first was mild in the spring, then come fall it just DESTROYED people en masse. I hope our medical technology and way of life can prevent something similar.

But humans have developed a limited immunity to the seasonal flu which helps. We have NO experience or immunity with Corona.
As was said above…the facts are out there and the Scientists from all over the world agree…this is DIFFERENT and more dangerous than anything modern man has faced since the pandemic of 1918!

I can’t fathom why anyone needs convincing…The day of instant travel around the world has made it even easier for Cornoa to spread as fast as it has. Today the number of confirmed cases in the USA doubled from 24 hrs ago…Consider that they hardly have begun to test, and those numbers are the tip of the iceberg coming by next week, assuming the government gets the kits out as promissed
It’s interesting that China is reporting a dramatic slowdown in infections, when other countries are showing exponential growth. I have to believe that those numbers are falsified. Are we really to believe it was everywhere in one province and suddenly almost subsided entirely?
Tough call. It’s been proven that it can be contained if severe measure arw taken ie. Singapore. But from all appearances it seems to be extremely contagious. I am expecting usa to have some huge numbers released in a few weeks. Alberta chief medical officer held a press conference today and it troubled me to say the least
People act like this is some incredible event but that pandemic was only 102 years ago; we’ve been around for 200,000 years. That’s 2,000 hundred-year events.
A 1000 year flood has happened 200 times in the short span we’ve been around.
These things happen, though everyone thinks it’s either a conspiracy or the end times, it’s a cyclical occurence, just easier to transmit globally since we’re so much more connected.
I continue to feel like the panic will be worse than the deaths.
Singapore is a flawlessly clean nation and I’m sure has taken every precaution. Also a small area is easier to control. But I wouldn’t be surprised if the true numbers are significantly higher than reported, also. Singapore is also one of the most densely populated places on earth and further derives most of it’s money from international trade. I have to question their motives a bit, not to sound too tinfoil-y.
In a lot of Eastern nations like Singapore, when the government says jump, everyone jumps. When the gov’t says you’ll get your ass whooped for spitting gum on the sidewalk, chewing gum exits the country permanently.
Here, when the government says get your ass out of dodge, there’s a fucking cat 5 hurricane heading for Miami, people go out to the bar and get smashed.
Obviously the Eastern response is more conducive toward containment protocol.
