Could this be used for clones?

I saw this on amazon,it has great ratings, you guys think clones would root well in this?

That seems like it would work. Bubble cloners and aeroponic hydro systems are prettty low tech. So is cloning. So I can’t imagine this wouldn’t do what you want.
Just run it with straight water (no nutrients) and it should work fine.

I ended up getting it for $80 shipped…not bad…we will see i guess…i cant see how it wouldnt work.
You can also sprout seeds in this,i have a hunch this system will grow seedlings really fast

I use those systems, i have three 12pod systems. The cheapest ones will do and can fit three in a 2x2 tent.

I’ve seen some reports that it works well, but I’ve never had any experience. I use a similar system, but I don’t oxygenate water with a motor, just a pot with a lid and water inside. I made 6 holes in the lid where I put the clones. It works very well.

It should work ok. Inkbird sent me a similar unit to test a while ago. I planted 4 seeds in it and all 4 have tap roots now and I expect them to breach the surface of the plugs in the next day or 2. I would think they would work fine for clones. This is the one I have.

How do the clones like the full spectrum light that is attached?

They are pretty cheap, could be a new avenue for people

I havn’t had any issues with the lighting. I like to soak them in hormone for a few days before putting into the system. Then i just use ph’ed water.

Sounds like a smart way to go…ill try it.

Found this on youtube

I juat got mine from Inkbird but I am sure it would work fine. Its basically built the same as my cloner. Circulates your nutrient solution at the root zone but has a built in light.

Im probably going to sound like a broken record on here but you could build your own cloner for supplies that you could Find at the dollar store for way cheaper that provide the same results 99$ if not and you got the dough and dont want to build totally cool too.99$ is alot of money these days and id hate to see you spend all that money buy that cloner and need money for a light or nutrients or soil or something that pops up.theres a whole thread on here Called lHomemade Bubble cloners”Hosted by my good friend

@Fuel Check it out sometime of you have the time and mull it over. Most expensive part of the project would probably be the Hole saw but you would need to make the holes for the Neoprene Sleeves in the lid the rest is pretty cheap. Some on here use 6.95$ cheapo airpumps from wally world and they work just fine.I personally use 2 ,4” Round air stones.Provides bubbles everywhere inside my container. My set up cost me around 35$ i used a better pump that cost 26$ so thats what was the most expensive thing saved me 64$ from the price of that Cloner.i might just take the money i saved and make a giant cloner with 50 sites out of a tote with the money i saved with some pvc and some orange mist nozzles and a tiny pond pump

@DougDawson I’m just wondering how I could get companies to send me units to test like you said about ink bird? Thanks

I’d recommend this instead. It’s $70 and meant specifically for cloning.

Also, the pic on their site is outdated. The lid on their clone machines is much better now. It’s a formed piece of plastic like the more expensive clone machines have.

Just a heads-up, that product says Luxbird not Inkbird. Not sure if they’re the same company or what, but I know of Inkbird and not the other.

Not sure man, I have been testimg stuff for them for years. They reached out to me one day.

Luxbird is a division of Inkbird that does different types of products from their normal timers and sensors.
