Mrs. Yoop and I are well! She got her 1st shot last week, waiting for the 2nd. The USN experimented on us captive sailors in 1976. Swine Flu they saidā¦ Iāve never had another flu shot, or the flu EVER. I have a wait and see attitude. Stay Safe, Be Well

Some had a few close calls from being close to someone who had it without a mask smh but they are all negative. And the people who had it recovered. Thank God

These are stories about how covid affects people or your daily living, nothing to do with negationism or not recommending receiving the vaccine. Many people here has lost some deared relatives and reading that kind of stuff may be very irrespectful for them, hope you will distinguish the difference.
At least my replies are all CV-19 related unlike yours. I never recommended or not recommended them to take itā¦Iām sorry and my condolences to the people who have lost their loved ones I mean no disrespect.

Phil, I wasnāt speaking about you, just mentioning about what people should NOT discuss about, not restraining the rest of themes related with COVID and how affect peopleās life that as usual in this forum can be openly speaken. There was a thread about COVID that was finally closed, unfortunately the disease was contaminated with politics, I was just trying to avoid this situation being repeated ā¦

Yes this thread is for us to check up on folks and to share our stories and vaccination is a big part for us at risk. As is our friends and family that have taken very sick or died from it.
I agree it isnāt for the ones that want ot make fun of or tell us what we need to do for us and ours.

I had the same as you sore arm for couple
Of days,the second shot I didnāt have a sore arm,everyone saying the second one is the worst shot I didnāt notice anything,
At the end of the day Iām glad I got it ,
And sad for all the people that died from Covid

Letās all be kind and keep it OG in here. I know the past year has been (at the very least) a complete nightmare for everyone. Some of us including myself have lost loved ones, experienced an illness, or both. Maybe even the loss or changing of a jobā¦ Multiple times.
I sincerely hope no one takes offense to my beliefs. When I report that I recieved a vaccine and that Iām not feeling Iāll from it, Iām checking in with how my community and I are doing in regards to Covid-19. I wish everyone well and hope for you and your loved ones to be safe.

I went through pure hell 2 days after my first Pfizer jab.
I mean, worst flu symptoms Iāve felt for decades.
Puking, diarrhea, chills, fatigue so bad, I only left the bed to use the bathroom. Couldnāt eat anything for 18 hours. Then the symptoms disappeared as fast as they hit me.
I was scared to get the second shot, since I heard it had worse side effectsā¦
I called the VA, and changed my appointment to coincide with the 2nd day after the 2nd shot to my wifeās day offā¦
The VA nurse told me that I probably already had covid, and the second shot may not cause symptoms.
Well, I didnāt feel a thing after the second shotā¦

Today marks two weeks since my second Moderna shot. Per the CDC Iām fully vaccinated now. After 13 months of quarantine Iāll head into the office for the first time on Monday. Iām a little anxious having trained myself to avoid human contact this past year, but it should be fine.
About 6 hours after my second shot I developed a fever and joint soreness. I was really out of it and wasnāt good for much of anything except sitting on the couch. 48 hours later I felt totally fine. Iām glad I scheduled things so I wouldnāt have to work. My girlfriend had her second shot one week ago - also Moderna - and she experienced some symptoms but not as severely as I did.
My parents have been vaccinated for a while and offered to take me to dinner last night. I havenāt dined inside a restaurant in over a year. I was busy last night and had to decline but Iām sure that will happen in the near future.
I guess this whole experience has reinforced that Iām completely fine hanging out at home. I never got tired of that - I just wanted to be able to hang out with my friends. Iām looking forward to some gatherings this summer!
