Covid-19 check in

Well… Not only does my brothers son-in-law have Covid. Talked to him this morning. His daughter and 2 grandkids have it too. He is anti-vaxxers and has not taken the vaccine. Nor has his wife. I asked him if he got tested at least. He said no, he will wait and see if he gets sick.

The virus hates the rich flavor and satisfying mellow tobacco blend of the Philip Morris product family.

If you’re in Flavor Country, the virus isn’t.

Well what the hell? I got the vaccine in February. All my grandkids got Covid. I went to get tested POSITIVE! That same day i had the Regeneron infusion. The next day I was feeling sooooo much better. I waited 10 days as directed and tested today Still POSITIVE! I’ve got to call my Doctor on Tuesday and see what to do now!

Having the vaccine means you can get the wuflu but not as hard as to go to the hospital or end in the Intensive Care Unit (is it called like that? icon_e_confused|nullxnull). Also there’s less virus count in your body so fewer chances to contagiate other people. You will have also more antibodies, so more defenses. Hope it will not bump you harder, after 10 days probably not, think positive and take care … beer3|nullxnull

I can’t find much information on testing positive after Regeneron infusion. Do I get more Regeneron or what’s next? Thanks for your help @George.

Blessings…

I am not an expert, you should get a doctor referral, any case Regeneron helps if you get it in the first stage without symptoms:

“The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently issued an emergency use authorization for the Regeneron antibody treatment in people who have tested positive for the coronavirus but aren’t yet showing symptoms.”

As long as you’re not severely infected I would just ask your doctor about what to do next and of course quarantine yourself, keep us updated … beer3|nullxnull

Lol I told myself if I get it again (boss at work and his wife tested positive yesterday, small employee group of 8 people) I’m gonna do the taste test thing… Saw a guy just eating on an onion and garlic cloves and hot peppers lol…

But in all seriousness, feel better… It sucks but we’re here for any and everyone if they need anything at all and I mean that… If I can help at all I will.

Everyone stay safe out there

My wife don’t have it it just me lol and she’s a nurse so I’ve been trying to stay apart at the minute I’m sleeping in the living room,I’m sure I’d be worst if I didn’t get the vaccinations all I did was sleep last week couldn’t keep my eyes open,

I’m feeling better still have the runny nose and no taste that’s what’s bugging me the most I haven’t been cooking either

That was the worst for me as well… The illness itself sucked but not being able to eat cuz you can’t taste it and your body seems to be like “Well we can’t taste it, so no point in being hungry I guess”

I’ve put on weight  my body is craving for food
I ate 2 cheeseburgers and a bowl of pasta for lunch yesterday lol
Since I can’t taste anything my body thinks I’m messing with it

Whole family had it early '20.
Again Feb.'21
Wife is an ER Nurse - pretty inevitable…

First time - the symptoms were like walking pneumonia -
fatigue (lots of involuntary naps)
shortness of breath - I had to stop at the top of my 1 flight of stairs for at least a full minute. Light headed, couldn’t catch my breath, heart rate over 100bpm, no appetite (lost 40 pounds I didn’t need to lose…)
Lingered for weeks - not as bad as above, but still there for a long time.

Second time - fatigue was the primary symptom, a little shortness of breath & a dry cough. Didn’t feel much like the first time - but diagnosis was proof.

Today - much better.
Gaining weight & working out to get lung function back - I’m a life long surfer and don’t plan to quit now.
Resting breath holds are over 2 minutes (was over 3 pre-Covid…)
Heart rate is back where it belongs & I generally feel better.

Taking a loooong time and conscious efforts to regain feeling “healthy” - almost there! :upside_down_face:
Kinda miss the naps…

Got it before we were broadcasting it was here, got it from Southeastern University. I remember the only steps they were taking to prevent, was not giving coffee any more.

I lost my smell, taste goes with that, kids got massive diarrhea and shit alllll on rugs. I bleached the whole house and burned rugs, bought replicas. Migraines were bad. Kids good in just over 24 hrs, took me 3 days. I was still running daily, working out, fine. My area is backwoods ish, masks were never really required. Got it again at some point, kid had lighter diarrhea, once or twice, I felt tired for about 2 days, flu like. Took a break from exercise because my heart fluttered some for two days.

Hurricane IDA hit, NO one cared about masks until we got food delivered to the stores again, and gas was more normal, we got power. So for a week, we were all exposed. Had a dentist appointment last week, positive. I could hardly tell. Lost maybe 50% smell and taste for 2 days, still able to exercise fine, kid totally fine but one diarrhea which could have been the 13 slim jims and grapes.

VA soliciting me to donate covid plasma for immunity to help other vets? Seems weird. We aren’t immune but just hardly affected. Would have thought it was a cold. We are O+

I work in IT in DC. We are slowly prepping the offices for back to work. Had a large meeting with most of our team yesterday to game plan, in a very small room. (STUPID) :frowning:

Today our Director announced he had covid. Several of us in the room are feeling drained/fevered/poorly.

I have had stomach issues all day and a massive headache and fatigue like a mofo.

Please don’t let me have this crapola…

Definitely double vaccinated and all that good stuff, wearing a masking, taking proper precautions…bleh…I just want to sleep all weekend.
