Crockett genetics

Looking to start a breeding project soon…was looking at some strains by crocketts farm. Does anybody have any experience with crocketts line and if so please share experience and pictures.

I grew sour juice from Crockett’s farm if that’s who you’re referring to? Nice uplifting sativa citrus terps

@Headies12green Nice looks good! Yeah looking to grab one of his tangie crosses. Good deal 50 bucks for 35-50 seeds. And possibly one of his strawberry banana crosses.

I am curious as to their breeding stock and if they have kept it up since they began and were throwing out their flagships of Tangie, etc.

Are they the same stock, or have they had to replace and recreate?

@ClandestinLEE I believe its the same stock and they are always trying to improve the lines instead of jumping into making new strains…just saw the podcast with him and james loud and the father and son seem like good dudes who focus on quality. But no idea until i try them out i guess lol

We ran a ton of Crockett stuff back in like 15-16 when they were first hitting the market. Everyone was super stoked, but tangie was pretty novel at that point.
The sour banana sherbet was amazing, such an incredible taste and very potent

@kraken
Nice! I believe he still carries the sour banana sherbert

I really love me some strawberry banana crosses.

EDIT:
Disregard.

It was Carter Creek I was thinking of.

I grew out a Tangie that was straight up tangerine and almost upsetting to smoke.

By upsetting I mean you got upset knowing that while you were still enjoying the shit out of the smoke which was also flavourful and rich in body you also got sad knowing you now have less of it.

That was years back though and at the time I had a small plant count or I’d have kept a cut for sure.

One of the first strains I grew was a clone of Tangie I got off Craigslist here in CO like 10 years ago, super short, squat plant but stupidly frosty and terpy.

I have a few clones of sour tangie that I’m planning to flower in the next month or so. Not Crockett’s but also have a Tangieberto clone that I’ll be running as well. Just ordered a pack of (clementine x Tangie) x Tangie in an attempt to find that original Tangie flavor and frost. Do not have the space to pheno hunt 50 seeds though lol, so will be a staggered 1 or 2 each run process. I’m entertaining the idea of if I get a good male to cross with Lemon G.

I picked up some of those (Clementine x tangie) x tangie a while back myself. Was looking for something orange, but haven’t had a chance to grow it yet.

It seems like their straight tangie is now sold by DNA genetics? Or maybe I’m misunderstanding.

Either way, Crockett has some killer deals. When I bought, I think it was pretty much buy one get two more packs free, and they are fat sacks of seeds.

I see that DNA genetics has it listed but my faith in DNA genetics these days is very short. It’s my understanding at some point about 5-7 years ago they went super corporate and became effectively a white label seed company. Their UI certainly screams white label, looks the same as Zamnesia, Herbies. Id love to know if anyone else has grown them, maybe I’m wrong but I have too many amazing orange strain seeds to want to roll that dice at the price they are asking for.

Crockett / DNA had some of my favorite gear to grow (except sour kush. herm city)

Kosher Tangie aka 24k is my favorite of all time! A cross of two excellent strains. Kosher Kush x Tangie

Citrus Sap was pretty great as well. And I think a few strains spawned from this one. GG4 x Tangie

OG#18 is the best tasting OG I’ve ever smoked. She has an insane stretch.

Holy Grail OG. Kosher Kush x OG#18 is… heavenly

Some interesting (now deleted) info on the origins of Tangie:

So the official lineage of it being Cali-O X Skunk is probably not true. My own experience with Tangie told me, that there has to be some Haze in there. What is curious is that the lineage given above before all the fame (Orange Velvet X Candy Jack) sounds eerily similar to TGAs Agent Orange, so I would not rule out the possibilty that Tangie was/is an Agent Orange selection.

I grew Crockett Tangie F2s that were a gift from the veteran giveaway on here. Rich orange smell with a subtle creaminess that made it more orange creamsicle than orange juice. Daytime smoke, very fun for beach days.

I’m growing some Zamaldelica Express x Tangie at the moment that came from the same male pollen, super curious to see what that produces.

It’s funny you just started this thread, I was “dream shopping” on Crockett’s website this last Friday…

I read somewhere that Tangie has an effect of you love it or hate it. They said some people were so turned off by that terp profile that they were sick if not angry.
