Taking clones and flowering them out separately
if you’re able to segregate your males and females, yes.
The other way you could work around it, is to flower the males separately, collecting the pollen for a more controlled open pollination. When you go to use the pollen, mark and cover one or 2 tops on each female with a baggie and make sure it’s snug to the branch. Make sure to spray all the plants down before removing the bags the next day. For even more control, you could measure and mix the pollen equally from each male.
thinking more into this would the un pollinated buds even be a good example of a test? if the plant is making seeds on 90% of the plant would it affect the 10% that’s not pollinated in terms of quality?
Outta likes but that’s good thinking. From my experience, the unseeded buds on a plant that’s been pollinated taste slightly different than they do on the same plant grown completely seedless. It’s varied a bit with different strains, but they always seemed to not smoke the same way. Has anyone else had the same experience before?
Well that would kinda make sense. Once a female os pollinated she puts all her energy into making seeds and stops trying to produce thc.
Its my belief that its the reason in the past our seeded bud wasnt so powerful. I think the same plant if grown seedless would taste completely different and have a higher thc %
I’ve tested that this spring.
On the seed plants I left the tops unpollinated for smoke then I grew the clones out as sensimea for comparison.
The sensimea clones were somewhat stronger and the terpene profile was louder as well but I was surprised how comparable the two were. I didn’t try the actual seeded buds.
(I should have, but my wife ran off with the material to try a new extraction process )

I’ll pull up a chair for the triangles
hows she goin !
So far my observations are that the Jungle boys seeds are growing faster. Not what I was expecting since the CSI beans germinated faster.
I suppose that could be due to some hybrid vigor?
Ive got some good news and some bad news. The Jungle boy seedlings are doing great nice and healthy and growing fast. The CSI seedlings are struggling. I tried upping the humidity in the room and lowering the strength of the light. We shall see if they recover.
Also I should note all the seedlings are running in the same conditions so it just seems the pure TK from CSI might be less vigorous.
they will come around maybe the jb mix will add some vigor to the new gen of seeds… thanks for the update
Your killing me. I have a purchase order in my email for the csi TK an im debating driving 20 min an buying the perfect triangle.
What are your temps in the tent? Maybe warmer temps might help with the CSI
I have 3 tk fem f2’s ( tk x tk 677 s1) going right now and they are neat plants. Dinner plate size leaves on one of them.
Just throwing my chip down for when it does become wiki, after the priority list, please!
I will be following along regardless!!!
May your harvest be bountiful,
