Alot of the CSI seedlings are still not looking great. So far just feeding them tap water with the light on 25% power. I’d love some advice on what to do with them at this stage! @Pigeonman @JoeCrowe
Turkey baster + top watering slowly. Unless the roots have already hit the solution.
Is your tap water okay? I mean I don’t use R/O but I DO filter my tap to remove all the chlorine/cloramine which I found made things complicated for plants needing to establish themselves. I spent the $ on the filter cause cloramine will not break down like chlorine will (also why I use distilled water for seed popping).
Edit: ha! I just noticed this is a seed run. Right on bruv!
I don’t think my tap water is great that could be the problem
All the seedlings that are struggling dont have roots in the water yet. but the rapid rooters have stayed pretty moist. It could also be them not getting enough oxygen to the roots?
Or maybe some bad stuff from my tap water is building up in the hydroton
Some more frequent top water might “flush them out a bit”
once those roots hit the water they will take off. just keep nursing the little finicky bastards … as long as there not dying you will be fine! u got dis
A little LITFA should do.
So far all they have got is LITFA and are not looking so hot lol.
LITFA is working for most of the seedlings but a majority of the CSI seedlings are not looking so great.
I think alot of people would just cull them and call them weak but I’d like to think they just require something else to thrive…
I’m still rooting for you and your plants. They’ll get through this.
Don’t forget me neb!!! I have no seeds bro!! Lol either way man you’ll do good… I wish you well bro
Spring water my dude… works great for germination
I raise the water level until it hits the roots and give it increasing doses of conductivity as it grows larger. Start out at 0.5-0.8.
I was out of town when I saw the notification for this then it slipped my mind. First off thank you for what you are trying to do here.
Been a couple weeks alive now? Maybe they hungray?
Changed the water out in all the buckets and started them on a very light feed of 150 ppm. I should of took a picture but quite a few of these little seedlings have root systems bigger than they are tall already lol.
All minor issues aside it’s all looking good so far!
Pretty noticeable improvement in growth over the last 3 days after giving them some feed and increasing the light strength to 50% from 25%.
@Oldtimerunderground your 2 mikado x blockhead plants are looking hungry to me but i dont want them to grow fast haha. I think I’m going to end up taking clones off them.
Hungry and i think keeping them so close to the LED is making them super bushy like that.
hell yeah!
I say the same thing.
lol did u see that thing grown outdoors by him… its a monster so i can see why your trying to slow them down. lol
glad the seedlings are taking off for you! also those tops on the mikados can prob be cloned and rooted and line up flower wise with the seedlings lol
boom … and now this is where hydro takes off !! they look great man keep it up
